Tell them once to take you off their list. Nicely. After all, its someone like us trying to make a living. After that, all bets are off.If they call you back, take the call. Press 1 as the recording asks you to. Once a live person comes on line, say you are interested in what he has to offer. Then string him along with phony answers for as long as you can. During the conversation, dont speak for a few seconds. Then say your kid was distracting you, could he repeat what he was saying. Elongate the conversation as much as you can. Drag the conversation out as long as possible - at some time, there wont be much to say. Then just go into silence mode. You dont speak. But keep the phone close to the TV or radio. That way they know the line is on and you did not hang up. They hope that you will come back on and they stay on for a minute at least before they get smarter and hang up.Do this 2-3 times and they will not call you back. Your account / number gets flagged as unresponsive. The worst thing one of these jokers wants is for someone to waste their precious time. They lose a sale. They lose time. And their supervisor screams at them for being unproductive. And you get to have a good laugh.

they claim to be US Warranty" - an automotive warranty outsource company.  They ask for your VIN number. I asked for their name and address- and got a B.S. reply taht they 'were not authorized to give out their address because of security threats' -- what a scam

The person who called me from this number said they were with Card Services, not Warranty Services.  But I have had calls from Warranty Services too.  The sale person from Card Services said I would qualify for a lower rating on my credit card.  In order to qualify I had to give out my name and credit card number.  The caller said I will wait as long as it take for you to find the info.  I asked to speak to a manager.  I told the manager before I give out information I need to know more about your company.  Do you have a phone number, mailing address, website, and any more information about your company?  The manager said, no.  Only after you give me your information will you receive that information about us.  I told him I have never heard of such a company.  I called him a scam artist and hung-up.
