cell phone NB

Got a call from this number about lowering interest rate on credit card. Spoke with a woman who wanted the 800 phone number of my credit card and then asked for my account number. I said oh, I don't give that out she HUNG UP rather QUICKLY.

It is a call center hocking car warranties.  These types of calls annoy me.  So when I can, I try to keep them on the phone to disrupt their statistics, etc.  I know my one call that lasted 11.06 didn't change much but it was a small victory here.  in the past, they have claimed not to know who they were calling.  this is bs. once i gave them a bogus make, model and yr, they started calling me 'Mrs R.'  surprise surprise, i am really Mrs R.  from there, you would thought they had either too much coffee or speed.  never breathing between sentences.  i repeatedly asked them to explain minor repairs since this isn't part of the warranty.  told them the title on the car isn't in my name.  that isn't a problem, they will happily sell a warranty through 2014 regardless.  claimed the policy was transferable (should i ever sell the car).  got me a discount because of my low milage.  yes ... this is a game.

Got a call from this number.  Didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.  Googled the area code.  New Brunswick.  We're getting telemarketing calls from Canada now?

I got a call from this number. It showed up on my caller ID. I did not pick it up and no one left a message.

This was a call to lower interest on credit cards.  I asked who she was with and she said she was calling from Account Services and hung up. No company name or information.
