I hate this stupid phone number.  It calls my house once a day and is just a fax signal.  Companies shouldn't be allowed to call repeatedly and not have a do-not-call option.  In fact, I don't think they are.  If I figure out how to report this, I'll post something.I hate them!StefPs - If you want to get off a regular (live) telemarketer's list, you can just request it and they must take you off according to Toronto's bylaws.  If they call you again, you can report them to the Better Business Bureau and they get fined.  Muahaha.

I just called Bell Canada, who's also my phone service provider.  I called the 611 telephone repair people.  I explained i was getting unwanted fax calls every day and told them of the issue when calling them back.  They said that the unwanted calls were comming from a trunk line (which is why you don't get to connect back to the answering machine when you dial back) and that they (telephone repair) can "send a signal"

What "Send a signal" means, i don't know, but the lady told me it would be resolved in 5 days.   In any case,  i'll let you folks know how that works.

This number is "canada finance" - or so they say... Someone with a thick accent that sounded like it was from india called and wanted to know how much our mortgage is on our house. My wife told her "it's none of your business" and asked to be removed from their calling list.

Keep receiving phone calls from number (416) 955-1364. Can it be fixed somehow?
