I just had these people call and ask for the home owners. When I said they were not available they and asked to take a message they replied with "This must be their lovely daughter". I replied with "yes, can I ask why you are calling?" and the response I got was "What's your name? I'm calling because I really like you". This number continually calls my house and either there is no one on the other line or they get angry and rude when I say I am not interested in their services. Can something be done about this so that they stop calling? I'm getting very annoyed by the calls.

The DNC is a list that telemarketers are suppose to update once a month. Once they get the list, they usually have to be manually inputted into they're calling system so the computer doesn't dial your number. But that's the catch: They have to get the list from the CRTC. If they are from a calling center overseas, the CRTC can't monitor or enforce the rules on them. That's why most companies are getting these call centers overseas to do their telemarketing.

i know what the heck.....no answer, I am on sick leave so getting no sleep...

These "Duct Cleaners" have been calling me every couple of days for several weeks. I started out very calm and polite. Told them my ducts were just cleaned - they hung up. Told them Asked to be taken off of their call list - they hung up. I'm sure the stories are all the same. Decided to tell them that I am busy at the moment but would like to call them back to discuss - asking them for a company name and phone number - which of course they won't give... they would prefer to call back. They told me the name of the company is "Duct Cleaning Company". haha. Now they swear at me. Good grief.The hang ups were annoying... the filthy language unacceptable. Great business model. I urge everyone to keep them on the line for a few minutes.. ask them what the name of the company is. Ask about pricing... get them to go into detail. Eventually numbers will be cleared from their list.

same time everyday here ...and there is NEVER anyone on the line ... if someone who does get the duct company could post the company name or report it or somthing please ...although I'm sure its just a company looking for active cell numbers to sign up for premium services.. Pray the day never comes they can charge landlines!

All u tell them what i told them. I let them speak there bu***hit and then i told them i'm in appartment 1702 . They should get the message.
