I used the Canadian Marketing Association's web site to hopefully set up a Do Not Contact on my personnal info.Reporting "2 the point Global Marketing"  to the local Police is useless, They have told me it is perfectly legal for telemarketers to call as many times as they want, even if I consider it harrasement.  I guess we are doomed to be harrassed if we want a phone in Canada?!

Calls every single day and never leaves a message. Isn't this illegal? Why can't anyone stop these jerks. It's harassment.

Complaining to the marketing company or police  is not likely to produce results.  Get the names of the companies they are calling to promote then call them and waste their time.
If the ABC company gets thousands of calls a day making their lines busy with complaints they will not be able to do any business and will stop the telephone marketing.
It stopped the FAXes I got got about a travel company.  I sent many faxes a day to them saying that I did not wish to get anymore promotional faxes.  They stopped using the FAX marketing company.

I have received calls up to 4 times a day for the past 4 months from this company at all hours during the day and usually between 9-9:30 at night.  I've asked these people to stop calling, and one telemarketer went as far as to laugh.  Besides the calls being annoying, this person was completely rude.  I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call List (https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng).  Even though you may not be registered on the Do Not Call List, you can still file a complaint for various reasons, including recieving calls where no one is on the line.  Hopefully this will work.  I refuse to be a victim in my home where I feel I need to hide from answering my phone.

I too called (416) 736-0699 spoke to Rolan.  He said he'd remove my number...but like many others, we'll have to see.Too bad that this site doesn't have a "feeback" loop...so we can check to see the effectiveness of it.
