Bought a phone that blocks up to 30 numbers but you can still check on who called. The only problem is that the phone still rings once & then stops but these *(*&^& still call 6 -9 times a day everday! Think they would learn. Guess they just have to dial a number to get paid.

These people are Frigging idiots,,, Even when you tell them to "piss the F off!!!!" they continue to call & call & call. I have been polite & asked them not to call but HA Ha Ha they just continue. And the previous comments are correct as we have added our number to the DNC list years & years ago & we still get telemarketing calls every day plus!!!!!!!!! Some time they start at 7am & continue until 9pm. Time to consider another alternative!!! Oh & we live Calgary & still get hasseled every day to "Buy" the paper,,Calgary Herald. The Calgary Sun is a better paper by far & we do not subscribe to that one either!!!

Hi Everyone - This number does belong to a third party call center selling Calgary Herald subscriptions. Jeremy above is correct that newspapers are exempt from the National DNC list. However, since its implementation, the Herald has voluntarily subscribed. I can't deny that we use telemarketing to sell subscriptions, but I can promise we make every attempt to be respectful of your DNC requests.

If you subscribe the National DNC list, continue to receive calls after making a request with the sales rep, or are receiving multiple calls and want your number put on our internal DNC list without having to speak anyone, send me an email and I will take care of it for you.

Montis

It seems that it is one of those automated dialing services that check if phone numbers are active.I find this quite annoying, so I use a recorded tone of a number that is out of service. Some of these auto dialers recognize the tone, and mark your number as disconnected on their lists..Also an effective way of dealing with telemarketers.http://www.sorrygottago.com/SoundFiles/PhoneCo/disconnected.mp3

private

Recieved 2 calls while driving, ignored both of them. It's long distance so I'm not answering calls I don't recognize.

Amanda

This number has called me 10 times over the last 5 days. I finally answered it today but there was no response. It called me again a few hours later.

Dudeman

These guys call me just about everyday. It's a telemarketing company selling the Calgary Herald.  I think I'll call the Herald and file a complaint.

Alberta

This number has called me six times in the past three days (I've never answered). I've tried to call the number back, but it doesn't work. I shall answer it and give any poor soul on the other end a considerate amount of vitriol!

The Goddess

The IV Automated Customer Service line is open 9 a.m. to 9 pm EST. calling that number back will put you in touch with a rep, so they say. Ironically, the number is promoting circulation sales for the Calgary Herald, and I'm sure other papers and businesses. I've left a message with them, and you can also leave them one too...I'm going to follow up with this and I'll keep you posted.
