I just got a call from this number and the person was like "HELLO, do you speak Chinese?", no joke.Needless to say I hung up.I tried calling it back and it was a dial tone, as though the # didn't exist!

Primus Canada for my home phone. Calling me to remind me to change my credit card which expires in a month.

same problem same technics but they knew who i am i guess or maybe this number is usually used for scams. and they also call my friend to montreal by this number. i think it's simply hackers who gots nothin to do. but they can see the names of our numbers i guess so they got a little idea about us before calling.

This is seriously annoying, today I got a call from +40555600842 on my cell phone at 11:09, I was asleep, luckily with my ringer on very low, obviously I didn't wake up to answer it, at 11:10 and 11:11 I got calls from a private caller, then an unknown number at 11:12, at 11:14, our friend at (416) 646-3601 called, and then at 11:15, a caller from 662-505-2872, I finally woke up at 11:18 when another private caller called. At that time I looked at my phone and saw all the missed calls, no messages though. How do these people manage to find my phone number, and why do they feel that calling 7 times in 7 minutes is going to get a response?
I tried to trace the numbers, the unknowns and privates didn't work out, but the first call was from a caller calling through Romtelecom in Romania, but calling through the provider from outside of the country. I literally don't know any person or have any connection to anything remotely Romanian. The area is Caras-Severin, which includes Transylvania. Perhaps it's Dracula.
The next number that came up, the 662 number originated from Mississipi or Memphis, Tennessee. I'm a Tennessee Titans fan, but otherwise I have no link to either of these places either.
Finally, of course our favourite caller, the one at 646-3601, called in between.

Has anyone received a REAL phone call from any of these numbers?

Phone number is being linked to any local service provider. It is a Skype VOIP number and is untraceable.  Any person with internet access can call via Skype and have this number show up on the call display. Contact your service provider and have this number blocked from calling you. Only solution thus far.

I have received more than a few calls from this # over a period of time. Most recenlty yesterday from a girl who appears to be very unstable,pathetic and have a lots of time to waste.
