Got an auto-dialer call on my work number. Here's the message:

National Economic Crisis
If you have $10,000 or more in debt
Free Debt Consultant
Consolidate Debt

Press 1 to speak to someone
Press 2 to be removed from our list

1. register all your phones on the Canadian Do Not Call list: www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng,
2. use their complaint button to report these frauds,
3. add to your tickle list: reminder to extend your registration 3yrs from today.
4. keep an eye on ioptout.ca (expected to launch Jan 2012) to force currently-exempted telepests to stop calling.

Got this call seconds ago, hanged up,thanks for the messages ahead.

This a scam and they should be reported to the police immediately which is exactly what we will do. 5 friends of mine have reported getting this message from them.There has got to be a law against this type of practice. Just got this call on work phone. It's a call about debt consolidation. Not sure if it's a scam, but most likely not the most legit.Anyway, listen to the message and then press '2' to be "removed from the list". Not sure if you can press 2 sooner. Also go to https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng that's the national do not call list. register your number, and report this number as well. They can get heavy fines if they continue to call you.

Got the same telemarketing call on my cell that I do not give out unless necessary (to doctors offices etc.)  Reported it to the government do not call registry site:  https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng
