Received a call December 16 at 11:10am. Strange it came up with the phone number twice.
Didn't answer.

Same thing.  Get it several times a day.  I have several cell phones, all unlisted and I get the message on every one of them.  I even got it at work through my PBX the other day.  The government needs to investigate this...it is a serious offense.

1. register all your phones on the Canadian Do Not Call list: www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng,
2. use their complaint button to report these frauds,
3. add to your tickle list: reminder to extend your registration 3yrs from today.
4. keep an eye on ioptout.ca (expected to launch Jan 2012) to force currently-exempted telepests to stop calling.

I've put my number on the national do-not-call phone list but still get annoying calls & messages from annoying scammers like this. I listened to their entire message; they don't name the company but claim to be helpful at clearing your debts. I left a message expressly indicating my displeasure at receiving their unwanted message and told them not to call again. We'll see if they do or not.
Why can't we stop these morons from tying up our phone lines? I guess our government is pretty ineffectual.
