I received this message today, also in two parts. Somethin weird is that I thought the numbers wit 555 didn't exist... but I received q message from it. I'm using the LG Rumor with virgin mobile. By chance every text message received with Virgin are Free!

I'm in the 780 area code and I've just received the same two messages. Both received at 16:15 on my BlackBerry and both from (416) 555-2121.

I thought it might be a script of some sort to triger information send back. I have a firewall on my BlackBerry and if this continues I'm going to enable it and see if it will block these texts. Also, if enough people call their providers, a 'harrasement investigation' is conducted between your provider and your local police. I've done it before.

We just received the same garble text messages. His/her phone company should take the number away!! Obviously this individual should not be in possession of a phone. This is obviously not criminal but it is a good class action law suit and the phone provider can be pulled down with the infamous (416) 555-2121

and virgin mobile is based off of bell mobility.  coincidence that bell and virgin users are being texted.  I activated my phone online by myself.  I don't receive any of these bu***hit calls.  when you activate your phone at the kiosk(s) They send your number off to the marketers.

I got the same thing on a Samsung Instinct.  And only my dad has my number as it is brand new.  Got for in a row - same script as above.  Very odd.  Plus I have free incoming text - so i doubt that its a money grabbing scam by providers.
Very strange!  Even more strange is the 3 websites with this discussion about the same number that doesn't exist!
