Yes this is happening to me to, 3 at a time every few days. I also pay for text messages.

Received these random nonsensical texts on my Bell Blackberry Storm.  Contacted Bell Help Desk, they had never heard of the problem.  Started on a Tuesday afternoon, received a TON of them and none afterwards.  Weird.

I got 4 text messages of the same sort and i'm with Virgin using a Blackberry 8530. if this costs me anything i'm definately reporting this.

i have lg rumor 2 with virgin and got the same 2 messages today..
what does it mean? i texted back but it said the text had failed

Ive been getting them for 2 days now too.. Looks like a jumbled encrypted msg. Im using an LG Rumor with Virgin
