I got the same thing on a Samsung Instinct.  And only my dad has my number as it is brand new.  Got for in a row - same script as above.  Very odd.  Plus I have free incoming text - so i doubt that its a money grabbing scam by providers.Very strange!  Even more strange is the 3 websites with this discussion about the same number that doesn't exist!

I got the Rumor 2 a few days back, and Ive gotten these texts 2 days in a row. It must be something to do with the phone, because some commetns are about the Rumor to.... I personally think its a code, but to what? The 416 is the area code for Toronto, but that probably doesnt help.

This is really creeping me out, and I think something should be done about it.

I got four of these non-sensical text message from (416) 555-2121 all at the same time.

This text is an error text meaning that someone has tried to send you a photo message and your phone is not compatible with the format in which the photo was sent.

Information:I got 4 of the same encrypted messages.  When I tryed texting the number i recieved this message: "Your message will be sent to landline phone number (416) 555-2121.  Pour envoyer message en francais au (416) 555-2121, repondez f a ce message."  So this is from a home phone, so this is really confusing..  It sounds like so far its a home line phone that attempts to send pictures through your carrier and onto your phone, but for some reason during this proccess the picture gets encryted.  Purhaps a computer program designed to piss people off?  Im not sure, but im not liking this.  If anyone has any anwsers please email me at bretster_15 @ hotmail.com.  I gotta get rid of this.  Oh and i am on virgin, on samsung link .  thanks :)

i have lg rumor 2 with virgin and got the same 2 messages today..what does it mean? i texted back but it said the text had failed
