Please contact the foodscam email listed here.  Ron Atkinson Gaal and Andrew Gaal have been using Shopco order forms and informing people that they are part of the Shopco family when in fact they are not.  Shopco was the victim of a multi million dollar scam by Ron and Andrew (who are the stepsons of Norman Gaal).  Norman wants to see all orders that are supposedly from Shopco and attempt to make things right for the customers.  Ron and Andrew cleaned out the warehouse, took the paperwork for about 1500 customers , checks and cash.  The first thing to determine is who you really did order from and who actually cashed the checks.  If it turns out that it was indeed Shopco and not Ron and Andrew pretending to be Shopco, then Norman will make it right.  First we will need to see your paperwork and copies of cancelled checks to determine who exactly ripped you off.

Above is an example BeefEaters/Shopco top of the line Rib and New York Strip steaks. Please notice the excessive amount of fat which is consistent with a lower quality of meat.  On my order I have checked off "larger steaks" about 12-14 oz. The salesman billed me for 34 lbs of the New York Strip however I received 15 lbs and they are back ordered 15lbs which is shorting me by 4 lbs (I was billed for).  Also, I ordered 30lbs of Rib Steaks and only received 15lbs with BeefEaters/Shopco's backordering another 15lbs.

Please note also, the average weight per steak is no where close to 12 to 14oz.  This is a big issue for me.  Most of the steaks received are about 10oz  with  about 1/3 coming in at 7 oz.  My family has owned and operated grocery stores with their own fresh butcher/meat departments.  As a previous store owner and butcher I would classify theses cut comparable to a blade steak.  They are definite not premium quality cuts as was expressed by your salesperson.

The roasts I ordered were suppose to serve 10- 14 people.  I called your customer service and spoke with Louise (two days before the order was received) and explained that I definitely needed a few large Prime Rib Roasts.  She confirmed that this request would be looked after.  The roasts received were extremely small.  I told the sales rep I wanted only quality roasts and I would rather have less roasts that were larger than have many small ones.



I also requested with the sales rep to ensure that the Turkeys that were sent were large enough to serve 14 to 25 people but the came in at 13lbs. Which is no where close to the size required to feed that many people.   With the sizes that were sent, they are of no use to me.  No I will have to spend more money as I will have to buy larger ones at Christmas and Thanksgiving.








I ordered 52lbs of Pork Back Ribs.  The invoice says that 23lbs were shipped but only 22 lbs were received.  The invoice also says that 23lbs were back ordered but that still leaves me short 7lbs of ribs that I was billed for.  In addition, the rack is not a full rack and has been cut to roughly the size of 1lbs of hamburger.




In addition, I ordered and was charged for 26 lbs of pork loin chops.  However, I received pork rib/butt chops.  I received 12 lbs, back ordered 12lbs, short 2lbs.



- I ordered 16lbs of Tilapis billed for 16lbs, received 5, back ordered 5, short 6lbs
- I ordered 13lbs of Sole, billed for 13lbs, received 5lbs, back ordered 5lbs, short 3lbs.


- I ordered 48lbs of Stewing Beef, billed for 48lbs, received 23lbs, back ordered 23lbs, short 2lbs.

I made an additional call to Louise two days before the order was received.  I was told that the Quaker Oatmeal flavour that I ordered was not available and they were going to send the variety pack.  I stated that I did not want the variety and pack and Louise agreed to send Sidekicks (Broccoli & Cheese flavour) instead.  The variety pack was sent anyway (no sidekicks received).

Finally, I ordered 24 bottle of White Vinegar, was charged for 24 bottles but only received 8 with no indication of a back order

I just got a call from this number. It sounds like they offer a grocery service with delivery to home.

I rarely get tele-marketing calls at home. I wonder how they got my number?

I see your post about Chambers.  They seem related and supply "other companies" with product and then buy the contract.  Ginger Hill sold us some product and the made a mistake a over double charged us. We called and could not get a hold of the salesmen, phone disconnected, email disconnected, website down.   They then did not deliver the other portion of the food.  We paid the for what we received however chambers wants the money they forwarded this guy even though we told him the total amount was a mistake and we did not receive what we supposed to get.  The whole bunch of the are scam artists.
