He had my name which wasn't quite correct.  He said that he was from Veterans of Foreign Wars.  His accent sounded like African American.  I told him I was on the way out and hung up.

Received this call in Nova Scotia today (05/09/2012) at 8:51am.  Odd thing I noticed is, while I was watching the rings come in, the caller ID shifted from this number, to an unknown name/unknown number without disconnecting the call.I've dealt with a good many scammers, but as I didn't recognize the number I didn't bother answering it.  No voicemail left.  I've been on the NDNC for quite some time, so my 30 days is long active.  I wonder if it was the Bell Canada b***s*** scam that I received a few months back.  Reported it to Bell and they wouldn't even return my calls (Bell not these guys).  The callers from this number aren't the only scammers in Canada... lol

I got a call today from this number. The man spoke spanish and was Mexican accent (I know this because I am bilingual and know plenty people from Mexico).  The individual did not identify self and said wanted to speak to "the person who sent money to someone in Mexico".  My family did use Western Union the night before to send money to a family member that lives in Mexico...Is Western Union on the Mexico side leaking information????  I am sure this is a scam. Since I did not leave any information nor identified self the person hung up.

I got a call from this number numerous times over the last few days.  I have yet to answer it, but if they do call back...I will, simply to see what story they tell me.  This is rediculous..I mean, all of the crap they have these days that are supposed to prevent this stuff....and STILL people find a way around it.

Hey guys, my girlfriend works on contracts in Mexico.And sometimes when she call's me it goes through this number.I'm guessing the service provider (from mexico) uses this line from Canada to connect calls or wtvr.So if you know someone travelling at the moment that might call you, then it would be a good idea to pick up!Cheers!
