If I don't recognize a number I don't answer it. Best thing to do is to look it up and then block the number. Judging from these complaints, whoever this is works multiple scams. Scum of the earth!

whoever this moron is they scared the s--t out of me yesterday. told me that I had
committed income tax fraud and there was a warrant out for my arrest. I was shaking
for hours thinking I was going to prison for five years. My accountant did my taxes so
there is no fraud involved. I will be calling gov't. of Canada and police to report
this number. This guy was either Indian or Pakistanian. Ignore these calls as they are
trying to get you to go to the bank take out money to give to them to clear up the
problem. Gov't. of Canada does NOT send police to your door or go with you to
the bank to clear up ANYTHING.

Bloody scammers.. don't talk to these looters. Just put your phone on mute and put it on the side.. they will eventually hang up.

Claim they are from Microsoft security department in California!

I received a call from this number saying that it is a call from Revenue canada that my income retun is faulty and fraudulant. I or my attorney will be responsible.

Called me to tell me my computer was at risk. When I told them NEVER call me again. The guy had the gull to yell at me!

Just received a call from (416) 362-9842. Name showed up as Mayraid. Wanted to sell me a home security system. I guess if I bought one they May Raid my place. lol.

Just got a call from this scammer with a strong indian accent claiming to be from CIBC Visa wanting to drop my interest rate. New it was a scam right away he hung up on me. I cant imagine what info some people are giving him. :(

I got a call from a telemarketer.  We always get calls even though we are not on the do not call list.  It is annoying

Our family just received our 3rd call from (416) 362-9842. They knew my mothers name and our full address. He threated to bomb our house if we did not pay them $200.00. He claimed they were Pakistani and responsible form "Bombing America". He suggested that if we could bomb America, don't you think we could bomb your house. He also stated that they had satellite guided bombs and the GPS coordinates for our house. He said that if want to save your house and your family you will pay us. We attempted to bait them into offering further information that would incriminate themselves. we asked how we should get the money to them. They refused to provide any solid indication of how we should coordinate that. I was able to record about 90% of the call. We called the police immediately and they opened an investigation. I gave them the recording and they suggested that this is a very common international scam that is done through "proxy hub" phone numbers that make the call appear local, but is actually coming from overseas. Anyway, we were encouraged by the police to not stress about it. Its strictly a money scam and of no real threat. They said that if the individual(s) call again, to just continue to hang up on them and not engage with them.

Got a call from (416) 362-9842 today. The guy on the phone who hardly speak English told me that he's from Microsoft. He said my computer was infected with a virus and I need to follow his instructions and log on to my acct to fix it. I said I have 3 computers in front of me and ask him which one he likes to fix? He hung up immediately.Please note that any phone calls that showed "unknown" and 416-362-9842 are scam calls. No company in the world will ask you personal questions/info on the phone and email too!

They are trying to use the world "Cylon", which is the name of the aliens from Battlestar Galactica.  Anyway, they are scammers - it is a spoof number.  Ironic that they are using the name of an alien spieces since they are an alien spieces themselves - as in 'undesirable aliens'.  They call here too, mumbly attempts at English, stupid lying coolies.

The damn government need to put a stop to this crap...called daily saying he is from Microsoft and my computer is infected and that i need to follow these step..so i ask him how much money he need to scam from me and to go get a real job and he is lucky he wasn't in front of me i would have fix his software for him...
