Just got a call from a lady with an indian accent calling from "The Redemtion Centre" lol she somehow had my full name and address! She told me she was calling to send me a gift package for being a preferred customer for using my credit card (which I don't own) and all I had to do was give her said card number to pay for shipping and handling. When confronted that I don't own one she asked if I was sure lol and then hung up.

I received a call from (416) 360-0172 and left a rude message to call back at 1-+1 877-451-2610 extension 6145. I called back and it turned out to be AIC, a shi*ty collection agency trying to track down people by randomly calling and threatening people having a similar first or family name. They are very rude and aggressive and when they call try to get your personal information without giving any information who the hell are they. They exactly act as scammers and fraudists. Government should put a leash on these wild animals by passing regulation on their practice.

Indian-accented male who said he was calling from "the technical department of California" and that my Windows computer was contacting him to tell him I had a virus problem. When I told him I didn't have a windows computer he started spewing sexually explicit filth. When I called the number back the line goes dead.

scam call for windows virus service
(416) 360-0172same story, indian accent trying to tell me that the computer was sending errors to them. I am a programmer and I realized this was a scam right away but I played along to see what he was up to. He asked me to run eventviewer (windows logging) and specifically the application logs. He then told me that the information there was (in broken english) indicating that my applications were corrupt. If it had the letter 'i' it was like an infections (it really means information) and if it was marked with a yellow or red (warning and error respectively, which are of no concern) then my computer was infected and my software was corrupt. He then had me go to www.showmypc.com and tried to get me to use their service (which seems legit) to allow him to access my computer so he could help me. I told him that I would need to speak to his supervisor. He refused (this went on several minutes), I wasn't getting anywhere so I decided to start responding to his questions like he was trying to sell me a 'window' cleaning service. (him) 'Sir, your computer is infected'.. (me) But I am very meticulous and I never use unknown substances (him) sir, this can happen to anyone and you can see by what I have show you the informations that your computer has issues do you agree? (me) well, my windows seems to be working fine, in fact right now I can see my neighbor, she is really hot (him) sir, I am not sure what you are talking about, can I help you with your computer (me) yes, you can help me of course because you are an expert on windows (him) ok, do you see the orange box on showmypc.com webpage (me) yes,so you think a cleaning would definitely help (him) yes sir, it will make your computer run much more efficiently (me) but how will you ensure that my windows will stay clean (him) we are very technical and have the latest technology to solve your problems (me) thats really great, do you mind if I call you jason, I really like the name jason, so jason, you say my windows will be clean (him) sir I am not jason, I can work right on your computer to help you (me) wow jason that is really great, clean windows are important, are you single? (and so on, finally he got frustrated and hung up warning me that my computer really was infeected)

I received a call from a guy with a thick indian accent (416) 360-0172 telling me my Microsoft was sending error messages along with malicious software was slowing down my computer. I needed to sit down in front of my computer to help fix this. He was aggressive and intrusive when I said, " I don't have time for this now." He actually wanted to know where I was going. I am glad that I type the number and saw the comments from above.

I received a call from the same guy with indian accent, I asked for his supervisor; another guy came with same accent. I put them on hold trying to call them on my cell but I got no where. I told the guy I did not thrust him and cut off the call.
