Received a call from this # this morning. No Caller Id was on the display only the number. When I answered the women on the line asked if she was talking to "and she referenced the name on a bank account". I asked who she was and why she was calling she said she was doing a survey for the RBC. Told her never to call again and hung up. Contacted RBC to report and they indicated that there should be no survey calls on their behalf unless its to follow-up on something related to the account. Just a heads up this is probably a scam how they got the account name (it's very unique) is beyond me.

I too received a call from this number (416) 233-0047. The person was just breathing through the phone which sounded very scary and I said “hello!” two times and I hang up. I went online to reverse the number to see who it is; I see that a lot of other people also have received strange phone call from this number.

The best thing to do is to call the police and report his/her sorry ass. Which I did, I wrote an email and report it through phone. If everyone here to do what I did, I am sure he will put back in jail where he belongs.

Got a call around 8 p.m.  My husband picked up the phone and gave it to me....when I said hello....there was nothing.  Saw the comments up above about RBC.....probably them.

Jimmy McGoo

Got a call from this scam number and was asked if I had been to my RBC branch recently. I told them I've never had an RBC account and they immediately hung up. I tried calling back but it's always busy.

Dave Gahan

Received a call from this number at 8PM tonight. There was only the silence on the other end. I said "Hello" a couple of times, then they hung up on me. Tried to call them back from my cell to find out what they wanted, but the number was always busy. Will try later on. Probably pull a little prank on them by saying that I'm really interested in their product or whatever they do over there. After asking for all the small details I'll say "No". BTW, my number is unlisted as well.PS: when you get a number from your telephone provider, it doesn't mean it's unknown to anyone. My phone used to belong to someone named Stokes. I still get calls now and then, when people ask for him. All the best to everyone...

going crazy with these stupied calls

looks like this last reply may work for one of these outbound call centers, well lady, or man, get a f *en life, we very busy people have more to do with our time than sit around doing some survey that will take an hour to complete, listening to some stupied [***] on the phone ramble on.  Loss our numbers, get a real job, and get a life, stop bothering us people.so you think you are the only people who put theirself through school, i did all by myself, and while i was doing it i didn't have to bother anyone.Don't you people just get the f*** hint.GO AWAY!

K

Just got a call from them, it's 8:54pm in Toronto.  They asked for my husband using his full first name, not the shortened version that EVERYONE uses.  I asked if they wanted to leave a message but they said they'd call back. The only reason I answered is cause I thought it'd be too late for a scam call. The phone is in my maiden name.
