Received a call from this # this morning. No Caller Id was on the display only the number. When I answered the women on the line asked if she was talking to "and she referenced the name on a bank account". I asked who she was and why she was calling she said she was doing a survey for the RBC. Told her never to call again and hung up. Contacted RBC to report and they indicated that there should be no survey calls on their behalf unless its to follow-up on something related to the account. Just a heads up this is probably a scam how they got the account name (it's very unique) is beyond me.

I too received a call from this number (416) 233-0047. The person was just breathing through the phone which sounded very scary and I said “hello!” two times and I hang up. I went online to reverse the number to see who it is; I see that a lot of other people also have received strange phone call from this number.

The best thing to do is to call the police and report his/her sorry ass. Which I did, I wrote an email and report it through phone. If everyone here to do what I did, I am sure he will put back in jail where he belongs.

When I was an account manager at a bank and made calls to clients, you had to be careful about what you say. For example: It's dfm at RBC, is Sally Jones available?  No. What's this in regards to?Just wanted to see if she was happy with her services and if there's anything we can help with.  Um, Sally and I only bank at TD.-silence--later that night-Sally has to confess that she's got her own personal stash going on from an inheritence that she's using as a security cusion since her husband has a bad gambling problem and they may be on the rocks. This type of scenario plays out more than you would realize. Just because you and your spouse have total trust in each other doesn't mean that it's the same - or should be the same - for other couples.

I've gotten this call a few times this week and I picked up this morning around 9:30ish.. and she had a creppy "shakey" like voice and was like "Hello is Jessica _____ there" and I replied with "Yes, this is her" and then she hungup on me.  ?!?

got a call from (416) 233-0047.  it is a company called Market Probe Canada (easy to find on the web) and they are infact a company working on behalf of RBC but they are extremely unprofessional and hung up on me when I asked that the number be removed from the calling list and like everyone else they avoided me calling them. After some extensive research on the net I have found this number(416) 233-1555 ...call this number to have your number removed from the list and be sure to get the name of the person who takes your request and his/her extension or operator number.you could also try calling market probe themselves 1.(416) 487-4144and asking for the president or the senior vice president. And with a few clicks of the computer it was easy to find the home phone number of the Senior vp !! (not smart on his behalf!)

Terry

I got the same call, the young girl asked for my husband.  I told her that he was not home and she hung up!!  Then, the next day they called again.  I asked what it was about and they said they wanted to only speak to my husband about our finances... I told that finances in my household involves me too and I my number is privately listed, so therefore you need to id yourself or remove me from you call list.  She said it was customer service.  I told them I don't want solliciting calls and remove me from your list.
