Received a call from this # this morning. No Caller Id was on the display only the number. When I answered the women on the line asked if she was talking to "and she referenced the name on a bank account". I asked who she was and why she was calling she said she was doing a survey for the RBC. Told her never to call again and hung up. Contacted RBC to report and they indicated that there should be no survey calls on their behalf unless its to follow-up on something related to the account. Just a heads up this is probably a scam how they got the account name (it's very unique) is beyond me.

I too received a call from this number (416) 233-0047. The person was just breathing through the phone which sounded very scary and I said “hello!” two times and I hang up. I went online to reverse the number to see who it is; I see that a lot of other people also have received strange phone call from this number.

The best thing to do is to call the police and report his/her sorry ass. Which I did, I wrote an email and report it through phone. If everyone here to do what I did, I am sure he will put back in jail where he belongs.

My RBC Account Manager told me that I would be receiving a call from the survey company mentioned and sure enough the number that appeared on the phone matches the other post's comments.

PleaseDon'tCall

You are a Market Researcher, it's your job - that you get paid for - to research.  It's my right to tell you that I want my peace and privacy and don't want to be disturbed again.  What's wrong with Market Probe Canada calling?  Not much, they're just another annoying research/survey company.  But when they call using a number that doesn't give the "researched" the convenience to call back and tell them that they don't want to receive calls from them again, that's a problem.  I'm sure if we want our voice to be heard, we will find ways to do so.  I only find it creepy and suspicious when someone from Market Probe Canada called me to perform a client satisfaction survey and this person knows my full name, the name of my company, and also knows that "this is the name registered for the company".  What else does he know?  I don't remember him saying he was doing a survey on behalf of the RBC.  But then I am a client of the RBC!  I did call Market Probe Canada (416) 233-1555, ext 228 for the "supervisor") and left a message to have my number deleted from their call list.  I will also call the RBC and ask them what this is about.  What a waste of time and energy.  Market research should be done in a less annoying manner.  Phoning people doesn't work any more.  All I think of you market researchers and telemarketers is just one word - nuisance!

This number has been calling my cell phone for the past week, on business hours, so I was working and couldn't answer. Today they called on a SATURDAY! around noon and when I answered, no one said anything.Just to piss them off I called back probably about 25 times... just let my phone ring on speaker while doing other things for a while. Never an answer. Then I found the number for Market Probe Canada on here and called them. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. He told me he was the manager, but didn't sound convincing so I had him spell out his first and last name for me. I told them to put me on the Do Not Call List but also asked why they are calling so often. He told me they do survey's. So I said "what does it accomplish to hang up in peoples ear? Nobody says anything when I answer, I don't consider that a survey" and he said "well, it's a computerized device that keeps calling over and over, not a person" so I said "I just don't see the point in having a computer dial peoples numbers without getting any answers or anything, it is absolutely pointless, just extremely annoying" and he started stuttering and mumbling, saying the same thing he already told me, with not much of an explanation. I asked how he got my cell phone number. He said probably from RBC so call and ask them to put you on a Do Not Call List as well. It is so annoying!!!
