They can just make up random phone numbers and dial them. Also with the phone number used in Canada a lot of them are recycled. Meaning some idiot could have had the number before you and given it to other random people. Heck I got a phone call from my local police looking for the kid who use to have my number!

It said "WestJet" to me, which bothers me since I recently purchased a ticket, just last night in fact. Which was a little strange since I didn't give them the number they called me on.  For now I'll just chalk it up to total coincidence.

I also got a call from this number....with the WestJet spiel...I didnt press anything and call was disconected. Its interesting because I just flew down to Halifax on Westjet. I don't recall giving them my cell number but if I did its definitely odd timing. Few hours later got a call from 9794460366...didn't bother answering.Maybe they are phishing phone numbers from GTA airport?

this number rings my home line (shaw) every two to three days at about 4-6pm. I have never picked up and thanks to these posts, I never will.

JUST got  the call Im in vancouver BUT they called my Nevada cell phone number? They used the "becausee you a valued westjet customer you have recived a free gift... NOW HOW did they know Im a westjet customer when they called a nevada cell phone number and someone in nevada would most likely NOT be using westjet would they. It cant be random dialing can it! Im calling westjet to find out what gives.
