Got the same call now 9.52am 11/19/2010No one said nothing. I hung up.

Yup on my cell from westjet....errrr! STOP calling! I don t even FLY

Just got this call now.. "Air F@#$%ing Canada, So I just went along with it, and wasted there time, with information that was all fake. Teach them scammers to call me!!!

Nobody is 'getting' anyone's phone numbers. This is a process called random dialing. A machine dials numbers randomly..10 or more at a time, and the first one that picks up goes to one of the scamming staff. Do Not Call lists and unlisted numbers are not excluded from being called because the dialing is done in number sequence. They are dialing numbers whether they exist or not.

The 'staff' on the other end are obviously well aware that they are representing a scam because they appear to be well trained on how to weed out those of us who figure it out right away. They hang up if there is any hesitation in answering a question or if the person they called questions the legitimacy.

Obviously, everyone on this site were able to recognise the calls as an annoying scam. I suspect that these fraudsters are targeting the people who don't have access to the internet, or may not be so quick to question the caller.

Everyone needs to tell their friends and family members about these calls and advise them it's a scam. Different businesses are used...Air Canada, Sears, Canadian Tire.

It's hard to imagine that this scam is worth the effort, so obviously some people are still getting sucked in.

The news stations should get on this and run a story..

I'm still not sure how telemarketers got permission to call numbers that WE pay for every second of use, I think if they want to be calling us they need to be paying us!!! Directly! For every second we are charged for and then some!! Why should we PAY our of our hard earned money so they can annoy us on our personal cell phones that are not cheap and far from free??

This number called me at lunch time, I listened long enough to find out it was an automated system, then I hung up since I was the one paying for this call! I don't care who it is, I think the police should call the phone company and have the line disconnected at the owners expense!

at first that number came up and now it comes up restricted, i dont know if its them or a pranker but they have been calling me for a week strait and once in the middle of the night.
