I got a call this morning -- once I answered the person said one, unintelligible, word and then hung up.

Child Lukemia charity, called them back at +1 800-619-6103 and got removed from list.  Be careful when AFTER your press "9"...voice is cut off and all you hear is press 2- don't- press 1 again and this will remove you from their call list- SO THEY SAY.  Why is an Alberta charity calling people in SASK?

This number called me this morning and I did not answer. I have received a call in the past from this number where I was pressured to donate and made to feel guilty about not donating. I asked to be placed on their do not call list which clearly did not happen.

It's basically a scam. Most of the money does not go to Charity at all. And some of it winds up lining the pockets of it's founder. Makes me sick that they try to make you feel guilty about not helping kids when they have no intention of using your money to do that anyway.

I received a call today, and the rude insistant man on the line said he was raising funds for Lukemia research.  After listening to his speal, and telling him I don't give information on the phone, but said if he mailed it to me I'd look, he tried to tell me I he wasn't getting through to me.

Anyway, with his attitude, and the google history of this number, I believe that it is a scam number being used.  I would advise not to give money to this phone number.

As a mother who of a child with leukemia, I was very disgusted to hear that one of my co-workers received a call from this number, and was very rude to her.  He phoned last year, and rudely insisted that perhaps her donation would be enough to find a cure, after she repeatedly told him that she donates to other charities, and is not interested.  He made her feel very guilty for not donating.  Plus, you should NEVER donate over the phone.  He phoned again a few days ago, and again was very rude.  I've been dealing with my daughter's illness for 2 years now, and have never heard of this foundation in Alberta.  I do see that there is a foundation of that sort in Ontario, but I have no idea how legit that is either from the information that I've read on their website.  They don't give you a contact number, only a number to call to donate.  Their donation form only has an address, no phone number.  Whatever you do NO DO DONATE ANYTHING over the phone.

Called this afternoon. Caller was rude and insistent after I mentioned I do not entertain unsolicited requests for donations, or even information from charitable organisation, over the phone (we have our own system of organisations we donate to). Kept insisting that her job was to "assess the amount of monetary donations" I was willing to make. Caller won't get off the phone and her aggressiveness dissipated any form of goodwill.
