Called this afternoon. Caller was rude and insistent after I mentioned I do not entertain unsolicited requests for donations, or even information from charitable organisation, over the phone (we have our own system of organisations we donate to). Kept insisting that her job was to "assess the amount of monetary donations" I was willing to make. Caller won't get off the phone and her aggressiveness dissipated any form of goodwill.

I received a HANG UP call from this number.  That only makes me NOT want to donate to their "charity".  Are they a legitimate charity?  I checked out the web site.  Very little info on the site.  I emailed them and said such calls are a total turn off.  Is it offshore telemarketers who have no manners?  Are they american telemarketers who are just plain rude?  the number on call display means nothing.  I have received other hang up calls and when i call back I get "this number is not in service".  How can that be?  the scammers are obviously smarter with technology than I am.  Or maybe i an just too honest and polite.

Child Lukemia charity, called them back at +1 800-619-6103 and got removed from list.  Be careful when AFTER your press "9"...voice is cut off and all you hear is press 2- don't- press 1 again and this will remove you from their call list- SO THEY SAY.  Why is an Alberta charity calling people in SASK?

This number called me this morning and I did not answer. I have received a call in the past from this number where I was pressured to donate and made to feel guilty about not donating. I asked to be placed on their do not call list which clearly did not happen.It's basically a scam. Most of the money does not go to Charity at all. And some of it winds up lining the pockets of it's founder. Here's an article detailing the whole scam this guy is running from the Toronto Star. Received a call from them here in Saskatchewan this morning. Still scamming, I see. This time though it started as a recording. "Due to the..." (click - I hung up)
