This number called me this morning and I did not answer. I have received a call in the past from this number where I was pressured to donate and made to feel guilty about not donating. I asked to be placed on their do not call list which clearly did not happen.

It's basically a scam. Most of the money does not go to Charity at all. And some of it winds up lining the pockets of it's founder. Here's an article detailing the whole scam this guy is running from the Toronto Star. Makes me sick that they try to make you feel guilty about not helping kids when they have no intention of using your money to do that anyway.

I got a call this morning -- once I answered the person said one, unintelligible, word and then hung up.

Received a call from this number on January 4, 2010 at 10:27 a.m. (CST).  The caller was extremely rude and would not get off the phone even though I explained to him that this was my business number and that I was busy.  I also explained to him that I donated to a variety of charitable causes and that I did not wish to contribute to his organization at this time.  He brushed me off by asking why I wasn't prepared to assist in leukemia research.  Without question this was the rudest solicitation for funds that I have received in a very long time.  Also, I'm in Saskatchewan and I don't understand why the solicitation is coming from Calgary, Alberta!
