Like everyone else on the list here, we're getting the same line from these people. Will try to block this number and see if it works. Would be nice to see these people caught by the police.

Got a call also from (403) 755-8807, didn't answer but instead called back sounded like they picked up and then immediately got a busy signal!

I just read through all of these postings and wanted to share that I went through basically similar experiences...the name of the person who he "said" he was:  Shawn Recardo.  the number he gave me 214-699-6217 ext 292 employee id #1827.  The company I believe was LTA... representing mastercard and visa.  He had a thick accent possibly indian not quite sure.  The phone call started out as everyone else's ... with the recording from "Lisa", press 9 etc etc. He asked for information on balances on our credit cards and the interest rates.  This person told me the first 2 digits and last 2 digits on the front of my card, and then asked for the 7 digits on the back of my card.  He then proceeded to ask me for the 8 digits on the front of my card in between the first 4 and last 4.  I put him on hold, called my husband and he told me to hang up.  So I told the guy if you are legitimate, you should have all this information and should be able to repeat any and all information to me.  He kept arguing with me and I eventually said, I'm not comfortable with sharing any further details.  That if this company is a proper company and really wants to offer me a lower interest rate, he can have paper work mailed to me for validation purposes.  He still persisted, but I was firm and told him if he cannot do what I'm requesting then the conversation was ending. Needless to say, he did not get very far with me.
I hope this is helpful to anyone else who reads it.  And by the way, I did contact my credit card company directly to investigate this immediately after and was told that it could have been a company that has been sold our telephone number. But that it wasn't them directly who promoted this type of call.

Some credit card company, I pushed 9 to talk to someone and asked them to stop calling and he just hung up right away. Tried calling the number back and it doesn't ring, it just clicked.

Nor would any reputable company ask you to get secure customer information over the phone.  Are you part of this scam knowingly, or are you being used to steal from others??
