got a call and my caller id said it was suyash0409 from (403) 697-0566. The guy had an east indian accent and identified himself as being from the "Windows Service Center and that my computer was infected with some malicious files and that if I hooked up with their site they would have a look at my computer to fix the problems. It was all a bunch of crap because people from microsoft do not phone you. I updated my anti-virus and rebooted my computer just in case. I tried to call the number but it said that the number has been disconnected. I too am in Calgary.

Got a miss call from (403) 697-0566 and left a msg on my voicemail to call back to a 877 number and it's a collection agency!

I've been receiving these calls for the past week. No message is left, and the number is "no longer in service" when called back. Also, no one responded when I answered the 5th call.

The dude lives here, I had answered and heard the wind, not too gusty, just the same as here in Calgary. I was on speaker phone, heard myself respond, and he hung up. The number was disconnected when I called back. The disconnected number thing seems to be consistent from 2012 to 2015, seems worth investigating.

I just got one from this number myself. Sounds like the same phone scam as nicetylol reported back in 2012.

This caller (accent suggested middle east immigrant) claimed to be from the "Windows Service Center". They got my wife on the line and told her that they received several error messages from our computer. They then had my wife click on a computer popup. Fortuneately she called me. I discovered that they had installed Imi_rescue.exe on our computer, and that they were attempting to get my wife to open a portal to allow them to take remote control of our computer. I asked for the caller's manager, and another middle east imigrant got on the line and said his name was Alex Jones. He couldn't even pronounce Jones properly, so he spelled it! As if! Watch out for these degenerates, they are obviously phishers. How they managed to bounce their phone call through (403) 697-0566 is a pretty sophisticated trick suggesting organized crime. Turn off your computer modem if these paracites call you, and check for misterious programs on your computer. 31 May 2012

I got a call from this number; he said that he is doing a fund rising for the police community for the children.  He sound very demanding and rude, he asks if he can count on my support, I told him that won't make any commitment over the phone, but if he sent me some brochure about the cause, I certainly can consider the donation.  He told me that he want me to make a commitment first before he send me the information.  When I told him no, I won't make a commitment to anything I don?t understand about it firs.  He just hung up.

And later she starts to ask you personal financial questions. Beware!
