Alert! This is nigerian fraud - do not give out any information what so ever, report to any credit card that they are trying to use and police for advice, they are very aware of these guys.

When I picked up it was just silent on the other end. I said hello a few times but no answer. I quickly did a reverse lookup but it just came up as a landline out of Calgary.

Caller called me and I returned the call and an indian answered - stating he is Customer Service.Trying to get me to lower my interest rates for the rest of my life.SCAM !  They apparently work with the banks to lower the rates - says it costs, but not out my account.I encourgage people to challenege these morons and call them back @ 1-(403) 648-9228Claims to be Lewis Armstrong. - WTF ? rec'd an automated recording on my VM from someone named "Lisa" advising me of my credit card... just another scan trying to steel identity or switch cards...

Just got a call from a gal with a real heavy accent claiming they were working under "Government of Canada" and could lower my credit card interest rate.  She claimed to have all my personal information in front of her but couldn't give me my mailing address.  Then she asked for the expiry date of my Visa - when I told her I didn't have a Visa she said "oh..I mean MasterCard"...I told her if she had all my information she would have that, I wasn't giving it to her and was reporting her to MasterCard and hung up.  When I called MasterCard they said it was a pshishing scam that is quite common during the holiday season.

She was pretty quick to give me all her information - her phone number, company Credit Card Consumer Advocacy and her name, Maria.
