I am getting calls from (403) 648-3978 and my number is registered with the National do not call list. These people don't care if they bug you on sundays on boxing day at night any time of day. They are so annoying.

I don't have call display so I don't know what number called me. But I googled air quality survey scam and landed on this site.  I also posted on another thread with a different number.  It seems like no one in Edmonton is having this problem except me????

I just got a call. A lady from this company thanked me for doing an online survey for them a year ago (which I have no way remembering) and she has a $300 certificate for me.  I thought that's a huge prize for just a survey?!  She asked me if I still live at such address (which actually was where  I used to live, so I thought maybe I DID do the survey).  And she went on to say if I live alone and she needs to have both me and my husband present to deliver the prize. That's when I know it's some sort of presentation.  I wouldn't call it scam because they probably do have good quality products to sell (like what some of the people here stated).  But I have to say their method is not desirable.  I own a small set of Saladmaster, which is amazingly good, and they cook a free meal for you and up to 10 people if you host a demonstration. (Even no one buys anything). So I gave it a shot.  I am loving it right now. But the prize? yes, very expensive.  I did it for health reasons as well. So I guess it really depends on whether you get a good rep who doesn't pressure sell or otherwise.  Too bad this vacuum company doesn't just vacuum your carpet for free. Because I think it would be a really good demonstration if their vacuum can suck up more dirt/dust even after you clean it with your own.  I want to add that I am not endorsing this air cleaning product because I have no knowledge of it. But I think those sales people are just trying to make a living.  So politely turn them down if you don't want to take the chance of being scamed or pressured into buying would be sufficient.  And for those who bought it and enjoyed it, good for you.

I have had 5 calls from the (403) 648-3978 and (403) 770-0522 asking me to take a survey.

On the 4th call (second call in the same day) I talked to a manager and was taken off their call list apparently.  I just received a call today (Aug 24, 2010) wanting me to do a survey first question "do you recycle at your home?".

I have just complained with the Canadian do not call list and have placed my number on the Canadian Do Not Call List.  If you are in Canada I suggest you do the same.  Their web site is www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca.

Good luck everyone.

These A-holes have been calling me all day like 12 times then hanging up.  I guess I can relish in the fact that these are stupid poor b*****ds who wish they were a homeowner and had a job that was actually fullfilling instead of fumbling through life.

just fyi the do not call list only applies to telemarketers, that is people selling things over the phone. Calls for market research and oddly enough newspaper solicitations are exempt. Adding your number to the list will not stop calls such as these because they are using a technicality (it's not technically a sales call it's a survey that sets up an in person sales call.) to get around the list's rules.

Bonnie

called at 8:00 pm while making dinner asking me if our household recycled .. to which I answered yes.  She (the person calling my home) asked if I was a homeowner or renter and when I refused to tell her which, she simply hung up ... how rude!   When I tried to call back, the number beeps busy signal.
Does this do any good to report this number ???
