There is a new buyer agressively making acquisitions in your industry in etc.......

Wrote across the letter - "Scam / Reported You"  and faxed back to them, also going to contact the Attorney General and report as well.

What is this about.  Received FAX wanting to buy a company.  Title on the FAX was TRANSCONEINENTAL EQUITY GROUP.  Does anyone know if they are real?

Just received a fax from PR POWER with a call back number of (403) 441-6802.  After reading the posts on this forum, I've also come to believe this is a scam.  In my fax they claim that a feature article about my company in the New York Times or the most important trade publications would dramatically change the image of my company.For a moderate cost I can explore their public relations publicity.  A nicely worded document but it has no other real information on it.  BEWARE!!There is absolutely no reason to call this company back.

I have Bought and Sold business over the last 15 years. People who will buy your business are people that know your business,you are competition to them and/or will enhance their own. No one will buy it randomly and it will never come from a fax. I am posting this to all the "maybe" guys that think there could be anything legitimate here. SCAM. if you fall for this BS, dont blame anyone but YOURSELF. Jerry

They show their website is www.bizsbo.com. They also gave me numbers like 954-586-1800. Next day VP called and said he wrote a book and giving TV shows. After listening to their bull crap, he says, if you don't act quickly, we will get another business to sell in your area. I could not stop laughing.They have used names like Lawrence O'Hara, Steve West, Tal Sela...... Steve Wes even gave me his personal cell phone number, 954-448-5500. Scam artists. Beware of them.

I got a Fax the letter states they have a buyer and they want to qualify me to get the buyers information to assist.  Number to call is (403) 441-6802.  I did call it and the person said he had a buyer for businesses in our area wanted to qualify me for the buyer and he needed inforamtion from me.  I told him I was not interested and to remove me from their list and I still get this faxes but with a different name a Secion Vice President on it.  The letter has heading The Chicago Capital Corporation, World Headquarters 500 N. Michigan Aven Suite 300 Chicago IL 60611
