Guy said he was calling from Eco Energy.  I couldn't make out much of what he was saying, but he was obviously reading from a prompter card.  He wanted to arrange a 15 min. appointment to come to the house and inspect the hot water tank and furnace to determine if I was entitled to a $650 Government Rebate.  Whenever I asked him a question he reverted to reading the prompter card.  I told him I couldn't hear him and hung up.There are many calls now from "289".  I usually don't answer them but I had a bit of free time this week so I've been answering.  I'm making a list of the numbers and what they are 'selling' and won't answer any of them again.

if you get calls from this number contact the police and your fone company and report it to both!! lets get them shut down it is all a scam

These folks call my home at least once daily.  I actually answer. I dont say anything and then I hang up.  I can play the same game.  Clowns!  Now if I could only figure out how to stop the annoying collection calls for Lisa Lord........Yes, I know......sounds like a porn star but that is who they are looking for...........

You can block these calls if they cal on your cordless on your landline.

Called at 5:45 today. Said calling from Eco-Energy "ON BEHALF" of Enbrigde. When I asked him to repeat the name before confirming my address in the GTA he did and then was saying "the nature of this call..." and was cut off. Either by his Monitor or he did it himself. These guys called today 2 times. Did not say anything. Have had calls from them before looking to send someone out to my house.  Told them that I was a hvac guy in the GTA Toronto.. and to take my number off the list. But they keep calling at least 2 times amonth . SO MUCH FOR THE DO NOT CALL LIST IN CANADA!
