This number is a scam - i KNOW for a fact i do not owe anything. First of all - i keep very very tight hold of my credit, have gotten a refund from the government every year, my work covers my mspo plus I called them and they said my account was clear. i have one credit card that has no balance, i have students loans in repayment.
this is a scam and i feel bad for anyone they are harassing that has debt and falls for whatever scam this is. Everytime they pretend I owe somethign and I tell them no i do not i talked to CRA last time you called from a different number - it stops for awhile, then it continues form a different number in a few weeks.

I did *67 on my phone and dialed this (250) 999-1108 number back. It went automated and said it is ARC Accounts Recovery Department so it sounds like it is a collection agency.

I get them too....i also never ever answer a number that i dont recognise...they've never left me a message to explain who it is?

This is a collections company for BC MSP. In the last week I have recieved 22 calls, from 5 differant #'s. I block a # and a new one shows up the following day. I owe nobody, so I do not pick up these calls. Last year at this time I went thru this routine with the same #'s. I picked up, and they asked for a person I had never heard of. Then they turned, instant a***ole on me, so I hung up. This year I googled every # and it keeps going back to " collections for BC MSP"   Soooooo I went right to the source. I called MSP and asked their accounts dept " OK, how much do you think I owe you now?"  They did some investigating and it turns out 2 other "unknown to me" people are associated with my phone #. I've only had the # 2 years, so I have to wonder how many years this # has been on their ugly hit list.  Now 4 days have passed since talking to MSP and a whole new # just tried calling me  (250) 999-1108.. it's 8:00 on a saturday morning, and the call was again " collections for MSP"   God damn, if something is not missing in the chain of command at MSP, I am bewildered. Nobody is checking old phone numbers!  I owe nobody! And this is 22 calls in 1 week!

Its ARC, a collection agency for MSP.Don't worry, MSP cannot go on your credit report.

They call a lot from different numbers. But never say who they are calling for or what they are calling about. It's never a real person either.

If it is the government then why don't they just leave a message? If I owe money to the government then I want to talk to them about it. But using some automated system that doesn't say who it is for or why they are calling won't get them a lot of returned calls. It could be a scam.

It's so funny I' m just a student here and never earned a dime in Canada! where did they get my number?!
