This number is a scam - i KNOW for a fact i do not owe anything. First of all - i keep very very tight hold of my credit, have gotten a refund from the government every year, my work covers my mspo plus I called them and they said my account was clear. i have one credit card that has no balance, i have students loans in repayment.
this is a scam and i feel bad for anyone they are harassing that has debt and falls for whatever scam this is. Everytime they pretend I owe somethign and I tell them no i do not i talked to CRA last time you called from a different number - it stops for awhile, then it continues form a different number in a few weeks.

They are collection company that buys debts from the goverment. THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE GOVERMENT!! Any collection agency is only allowed by law to contact you once a month, any more then that is harassment! The debt is allso only good for 7 years from the time they bought itfrom whomever sold them the debt in court. Basiclly these debts get bid on in a sort of auction through court. After 7 years by law they can not collect anything thanks to the statute of limitations law. FYI and pass it on.

really?

I have to laugh while reading these comments. This number just called my parents house looking for a relative who I know has debt and likely owes to the government. Regardless, how do you people know if you owe or don't owe money to MSP or another government agency? In 31 years of my existence I have never had any issues with collections or holding debt; however, just recently I received a reassessment from Canada Revenue from a previous tax filing and apparently I owe some money back to the government. If you people simply avoid these phone calls and cry out publicly every time someone from this number calls, you will never know what the situation is. Why don't you just answer it, determine what they want, and actually deal with it.

I've been getting a lot of call from this number too. They left me message saying we're owing some debts from msp and they're taking over the debt amount. It's recovery account company but it's stupid becuz we don't owe government any money. Be aware guys!

They keep calling me for a month then send me a letter about owning debt of MSP with another strange account which is not mine, and saying contract their office in 10 days, to prevent further legal action be commmenced against to me...!! but actually i am paying my MSP every month and  i am not owning any debt to them. IS there anyone like me, to receive this kind of letter? and how you guys deal with it? Thx!

They state that they are a collection agency, and they keep on calling my number from several other numbers (switching every few days):(250) 940-0280(778) 945-0062+1 877-762-7070(250) 940-0449(604) 336-8359(250) 999-1106Most don't even leave a message for you, calls me back continuously (almost 3-5 times per day, every single day), to the point where I've added their numbers on my phone simply labelled as SPAM so I don't pick up, and leave my phone on vibrate when they do call. The funny thing is that they keep on calling my CELLPHONE. For every government-related document, all that I have listed is my Home Landline, which is in a whole 'nother city in BC. If they have beef with me about anything legitimate, then they would call my house and my parents would let me know what's up (like how they would send me documents to my house address rather than to me directly to where I am currently staying at, since I'm still a student). This company can be one of several things:1. A scam where some company buys off or steals your private information, like phone numbers and names, and try to siphon money from you pretending that they are from a legitimate company because there are probably a good handful of people who will actually believe them (which I think they are). Then they recycle through a bunch of random unused numbers and run your number back through their machines.2. A collection agency that's bought off government debts of the person who owned your (cell)phone # before you took over it (unlikely). What to do when this happens and it turns out to be a scam:1. Collect all of the numbers harassing your # and report them to your cellphone company or to a government administrator for fraud and harassment.2. If you are nearing the end of your contract for your cellphone (like me), consider switching to a new phone company and a new # (which I will be doing very soon because this is driving me INSANE).3. Block the numbers if you are on a landline or your cellphone contract cannot be renewed yet.Seriously, I'm at the end of my line. I am planning on switching to a new cellphone by the end of the month. This is ridiculous and getting out of hand. I can't always go to my phone 3-5 times a day for another month thinking that it's "SPAM" calling again.
