Got a call the day before, talking about I signed up a free Florida trip online blah. He has an Indian accent and said he was calling from the States. I told him I have never signed up this kind of things. he just carried on and told me my address, my email, if I am married or not...I just hanged up on him. I was too shocked to be able to trace him.I got a call again today, and it was him again. This time I got the number: (250) 483-0013!

MY parents got a call for me from (250) 483-0013. My mom said I'm on the other phone (don't know why, I haven't lived with them for a year and a half), the guy kinda studered and hung up.

I have been rudely awaken by this number numorous times! Today I went on line to see if I could find out who it belonged to and sure enough I have found this site and Im not the only victim. I get mumerous calls a week from unavaliables that hang up and bizarre numbers that I dont bother calling back. I too am in Victoria and am getting really sick of it.Lets hope we catch him/her!!!The funny thing is I have aprivate number!!!

It appears to be related to Vonage. Our caller id with vonage was working fine but, now it comes up incorrectly ((250) 483-0013)). I've put in a call with vonage to have our caller id re-initialized so we will see what happens from there.

We've had a number of calls from 1-(250) 483-0013.  My phone number was set up through Telus and transferred to Vonage, so I called Vonage to see about blocking the number from getting through.  Unfortunately they can't do that, but what we can all do is report them to the police, who can work on shutting them down.  Even though we can't get a name to go with the caller i.d., the police have better databases and every number has a name attached to it, so these annoying bastards CAN be tracked.  

So far we've received 8 calls from this number, though we've gotten over 49 calls that are listed from 'unknown caller' and the person on the other end of the line is asking for the same person as from 483-0013.

Looks like I got the same call as Andy, once today and once yesterday. A guy with an East Indian accent, said he was from Rogers Wireless and wanted to send me a free phone. He wanted to confirm how many phones I had. I didn't answer his questions and asked him to just send me the phone and he hung up. What can we do about this?I'm in Victoria, BC, by the way.
