Legitimate phone call from Canadian Tire Financial Services. I didn't answer and they left a voice mail message. I called the number on the back of my Mastercard to ensure it was legit. Sure enough it is, they called to confirm a purchase I had made to an irregular address. All good. :)

Received a call from this number but couldn't answer it.  I was online getting a refund from SGS Business Solutions and gave them my credit card # but CT refused the Western Union refund from SGS.  I believe CT was calling to verify information.

It is  Canadian Tire Mastercard security. Had a call from them too and called CT Mastercard to confirm. Seems legit

Loyal Card Holder

Canadian Tire Mastercard.  COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE.  Call them back or they will freeze your mastercard account until they verify who you are.  Chip on my card had not been working.  Swiped card for several transactions, and they placed a hold on my card for security reasons.  Called them, they told me it was because they notice I keep swiping my card, instead of using tap or chip features, which then alerted them that it may be a compromised card.  Makes sense, since when I swipe the card, I don't get asked to enter PIN.  Very nice gentleman explained everything to me in a few minutes.  Sent me a new card in the mail, and told I could keep using my old one until it arrived.  My account was unfrozen in a matter of seconds.  Very nice customer service.

Got this call this morning. From Canadian Tire Bank (Store Credit card). Lady left a message on my voicemail & left me the same number than the reverse of the credit card. It was a legit call. Couple weeks ago I paid my balance, cut my card in half & mailed it to them. This morning she offered me a 9% interest rate instead of the regular 19.5% to NOT abandon them. I did not accept, and I said 'if you had offered this rate two years ago like VISA, maybe I would have keep the card. You should apply this lower rate to all your credit card holders who have a balance & now must pay an usury 19.5% rate'.SO, it seems the only way to get a 9% rate from them: pay your final balance, send them the card & wait two weeks. Then they might show a little more respect!

I got the call but I don't have a MC either and when I returned the call (after googling online) they said I'm not even in their system, verified I have no card with them, and had no answers as to why someone had my name and number.
