They said it was from the "verification department". When I asked them to say it again, they just hung up. Weird, to say the least!

had a call from this number saying they can lower my interest rate on my visa card, said from their records i have not missed a payment in the past 6 months, really i thought. and that if i gave him my secruity number on my card he can start the process straight away. i made some lie i couldnt find my card so to call me back later as im abit busy, he said of course he can call later today, he then asked what the balance owed on my card was, again i gave him a random number but if he had my records he would already know this right??  its a scam and someone needs to make sure this number is reported so some inocent person doesnot get miss lead by this horrible people.

Just got a call from this number. First hint that something was off was when he asked if I was Mrs. x. I'm married but kept my last name. My bank and credit card company knows what my name is. He did have my correct address. I did not confirm that however I quickly asked him what this was about. His english was very very poor and there was a ton of noise in the background. He said that he was calling from VISA and that he was offering to lower my VISA interest rate for life and wanted to confirm the date on my credit card. I said that I don't confirm anything about any credit cards with strangers over the phone and promptly hung up. He never gave any other company name other than VISA.

I just got that call!  very annoying ,i am French (so i wasnt sure what he said!)but he said that i won a trip but i had to give him info about my credit card.....i screamed at him (it felt good!)and i hung up!   twice in 2 days! it is unacceptable!
