I think these calls are made to create fear and insecurity in the minds so that they will install the home security devices and services from a company . I dont want to mention the name .I received a call and realised its a scam . The next day the security company called with an offer .The same pattern repeats .Its a dirty marketing trick by a security device and monitoring company.

Asked for personal information and phone numbers pretending to deliver a parcel.
