Claimed to be selling a service monitoring my credit reporting with Equifax and Trans-union and would send me a credit report. Claim to be affiliated with RBC.

called me claiming to be a company sending me info on my credit rating and that they were part of RBC

I am so sick of the RBC. How dare they give my private home phone number to one of these organisations. Free credit report? I know my credit rating, and I wouldn't even confirm my name to this organisation. I'm calling the bank tomorrow to give them crap for selling my PRIVATE information.

Answered. ? The call was from a telemarketing company on behalf of Royal Bank of Canada.  They were trying to sale insurance service against identity theft by sending periodic credit reports.
