Got a call ; went like this:
"FOR BEING A VALUED CUSTOMER OF COSTCO YOU HAVE WON A PRIZE PRESS 1 TO ACCEPT" (in a VERY loud and annoying Text-to-Speech voice)
Me: 1
--Music for about 30 seconds--
Congratulations you have won a prize, you must meet two things to qualify; are you over 35;
Me: No
Great; Do you have a credit card?
Me: No
Oh, Sorry you dont qualify.. Have a great day
WAIT: please remove me

called my boss at work (BC,Canada) stating that he was the recipient of 100000 Air Miles points and to press #1. He hung up.
readers - please remember not to press #1; say "yes"; agree to receive anything my mail or delivery; agree to a trial sample . Those are the most common possible scams that i've heard

In Victoria, Got a call from this number this morning at 9am. I didn't get an chance to answer. I am with telus and have gotten scam phone calls from them. Something like "congratulations as a valued telus customer"
From experience, Telus will directly call you not use an automated machine. Its kinda creepy that this sort of info is getting out

And yet, if you dial the number back, it says it's not in service.

I believe this number is connected to Costco. Every time I try to call it back it says its disconnected. I recently got a Costco card and am trying to get my name off the call list.
