Got this call tonight. It was around 8 PM. No one spoke but a lot of noise in the backround

Keep receiving calls from this number...no one says anything!!!! Pretty stupid

They've been calling me and I've been ignoring the call until last night when I finally got fed up and answered. A man with a very strong accent said he received a report that my computer has Malware or spyware on it and that he worked for a company that services windows. He wanted me to go to my computer so that he can guide me through a repair. I told him that "no offense...but you just called me, how do I know you're legitimate" He says he works for ISecure VAP in Austin, TX. That his name is Neil Hardy (he could barely say it) id # 1522 and his phone # is 1 845 3636 555 (got ya, got to love the new phone numbers in the U.S.). Then he says...now that I gave you the information, you know I'm who I say I am and then asked me to go to my computer again to do the repair. I told him that I can go check out his information and call him back to do the repair if he is who he says he is...he hung up.  Caller ID said Alberta (780) 409-4786 and is listed as a private number. A friend of ours who has a computer store says they likely bought a list with some basic information on it and that they are "fishing".

Well i got a call and this lady with a very foreign accent began talking saying my computer was infected. It was obviously a scam as you could hear there were lots of people in there like a call area and i proceeded to put it on speaker for my son and wife to hear. I asked her about her company and she told me (Bareley intelligible) that she was from something like ivap or ifap or something. she then told me to put in a random key combination which was something along the lines of ctrl+f4 blah blah and i just sat on the couch pretending to do it and when she asked me what popped up i told her nothing and she told me to do it again and repeated to her nothing happened. She soon caught on and asked me if she was toying with me and hung up. Yeah just answer and toy with them they wont be calling me anytime soon

Got a call from an Indian male, saying something about my computer. Knew it was a scam so I hung up. Jerks.

got a call from (780) 409-4786.(Alberta Canada - caller ID Ameyo) Man with foreign (Indian) accent said he was calling to protect my computer from errors it is getting through an international error and wanted me to go through a series of steps to protect me. I played along for a while - He said he was from "I Security Web"  After a while I told him I was on the national do not call list - he didn't want to tell me how he got my number. Then I told him I worked for IT security of the State of Pennsylvania - He said I could probably figure out the problem on my own and hung up
