This number IS NOT calling on behalf of RBC. I contacted RBC, and they have no knowledge of this company... any marketing they do, is with a 1-800 number, that is clearly identified on call display as RBC

It is a RBC telemarketing company never trust them or give them private information even if they claim to be apart of a larger parent company such as RBC.

I got a call which my husband answered two days ago asking for me and then tonight I answered the same call. 778 is a BC cell phone number. Like everyone here, they want to give me a free credit report and the next report which comes out monthly will cost me $18 a month and will be charged to my RBC visa. The guy speaks perfect English and very smooth trying to push me to agree and told me I only have to call back to cancel the charge if I decide not to get a monthly credit report. I listened to his whole script wondering why RBC would do such a thing to their customer and why would I need a monthly credit report on my credit status. I asked him why would RBC give him authority to call me? He said they are a marketing firm RBC hired and then kept pushing me to confirm my name! Somehow they knew my first name and home number. I don't know from where though cause my home number is not under my name. Anyways, I gave my RBC rep a nasty e-mail saying if you hired Famtel to solicit something to me, I will be VERY upset and I need to speak to someone who is dealing with this marketing campaign. Will see what RBC has to say.

I just received a text message from this number, they claimed to be Telus texting me to let me know I have a Samsung TV on it's way to me. This is obviously a scam number, I would advise anyone who receives this text to report it to Telus and DO NOT REPLY to the text. just mho.

It was a company offering consumer credit protection on behalf of RBC. One month free trial plus a copy of your credit report from Equifax then $17.99 a month after that unless you cancel within 30 days.
