This number IS NOT calling on behalf of RBC. I contacted RBC, and they have no knowledge of this company... any marketing they do, is with a 1-800 number, that is clearly identified on call display as RBC

It is a RBC telemarketing company never trust them or give them private information even if they claim to be apart of a larger parent company such as RBC.

They just called me and it was definitely fishy. A woman first replied asking for so-and-so and I said this person was not available and if I could take a message. Then I get a man saying he's calling on behalf of RBC. I was totally thrown off with the switch and thought I was talking to a machine that was ready for the rejection. RBC never uses a cell phone to contact people unless it's like your financial advisor but even then they wouldn't. I would say just ignore the call or tell them they have the wrong number.

Hi everyone a common ploy for scammers is to say they are calling you on behalf of RBC, Famtel, take your pick of any valid bank or credit company. They then take your credit card information and rack up all kinds of false charges. And you, naturally, call the valid companies and complain and ask to be put on a "do not call" list. But that does no good as they aren't the ones making the calls of course. Any one of you could grab a phone book and start calling people saying you represent RBC, BOM, Famtel and ask for credit card information or "sell" a bank service. That is all it is. NEVER give any information to calls like this and don't waste your breath on calling the financial institution. They can't trace these creeps any more than you can. That is how scammers like these make their money. By the time you have called and complained to the valid company and tried to sort out the mess, they have already racked up charges at yours and the credit card/bank's expense. Best way to get off their lists? Answer the phone each time they call and blow a whistle into it loudly! I got tired of it and started doing that. My husband still gets frequent calls but me? Never. Guess I'm on the "Oh God, do NOT call her whatever you do!" list and I like to keep it that way!

Same deal. I went to RBC Website and wrote a complaint as the fellow Jason Currie keeps calling for my son, he keeps hanging up. I have advised RBC via the website that we will be with drawing all our accounts and credit cards with them, unless this ceases immediately. Had the same problem last year. Here's the website http://www.rbcinsurance.com/supportcentre/cli ... _complaint.htmlPass it along
