This number IS NOT calling on behalf of RBC. I contacted RBC, and they have no knowledge of this company... any marketing they do, is with a 1-800 number, that is clearly identified on call display as RBC

It is a RBC telemarketing company never trust them or give them private information even if they claim to be apart of a larger parent company such as RBC.

I received a call from this same number and they identified themselves and Royal Bank....telemarketing something. Notice on this page...top left hand corner....an ad for Royal Bank...too coincidental.

I got a call from this number, some lady claiming to be from Famtel Solutions. As annoying as telemarketing call centres are, Famtel seems to be a legitimate company. However, I have no idea if this number is actually Famtel's. Anyway, I called RBC and told them I'm tired of receiving telemarketing calls from sketchy companies claiming to be calling on behalf of RBC. The agent was nice, but defensive, claiming that RBC does not make telemarketing calls, while in the same breath saying that Famtel is not one of the companies RBC uses. I pointed out that on their own website FAQ says:5. What if I no longer wish to receive marketing calls from RBC, regardless of whether I have a relationship with you?"We are committed to respecting the wishes of our clients or consumers who do not wish to receive telemarketing calls from us. There are two simple ways to add your name to our internal do not call lists: You can call or visit your bank branch or check www.rbc.com for information on how to add your name to our internal do not call lists. You will be asked a series of security questions, so that we can verify your identity. If you receive a telemarketing call from us, you can ask at that time to be added to our internal do not call lists."So obviously they do make telemarketing calls. The agent responded, "So you don't want to receive any more of our OFFERS? If I put you on that list, you won't receive any of our OFFERS anymore." Nice try, but no I don't want any more of your "offers."

As all have been saying a woman's voice then a man comes on wanting to give me a free credit report for a month then about $20.00 a month after. I did not go for it because my number is unlisted and I will not give my name out. If they are from my bank then they would have my name, number and other info and they would know who I was and not have to ask for it. So be carefull who you talk with and don't give out any thing info.

I just received a text message from this number, they claimed to be Telus texting me to let me know I have a Samsung TV on it's way to me. This is obviously a scam number, I would advise anyone who receives this text to report it to Telus and DO NOT REPLY to the text. just mho.

They just called me and it was definitely fishy. A woman first replied asking for so-and-so and I said this person was not available and if I could take a message. Then I get a man saying he's calling on behalf of RBC. I was totally thrown off with the switch and thought I was talking to a machine that was ready for the rejection. RBC never uses a cell phone to contact people unless it's like your financial advisor but even then they wouldn't. I would say just ignore the call or tell them they have the wrong number.
