This number IS NOT calling on behalf of RBC. I contacted RBC, and they have no knowledge of this company... any marketing they do, is with a 1-800 number, that is clearly identified on call display as RBC

It is a RBC telemarketing company never trust them or give them private information even if they claim to be apart of a larger parent company such as RBC.

Same deal. I went to RBC Website and wrote a complaint as the fellow Jason Currie keeps calling for my son, he keeps hanging up. I have advised RBC via the website that we will be with drawing all our accounts and credit cards with them, unless this ceases immediately. Had the same problem last year. Here's the website http://www.rbcinsurance.com/supportcentre/cli ... _complaint.htmlPass it along

I have told RBC time and time again I am not to be contacted for marketing purposes. If they contact me again I am going to directly forward them to the local CRTC office's number. And lodge a complaint. There are legislation about this kind of thing and they are NOT following it.As far as the call itself goes: it is NOT a scam as people have suggested. These guys are legitimately contracted by RBC to offer their services. In fact, however, they are not contracted so much as RBC gets a commission for them being allowed to sell their product to you. This is a common thing in the banking world. RBC has a history of shady practices and this is one. Look at their recent IT scandal for another. If I had the option I'd switch my card to TD or CIBC or basically anything not RBC. I am looking into that now.But to summate: a telemarketer allowed by RBC to call their clients and sell something. If you're an RBC client then this is legitimate but very annoying and kind of shady dealing on their part. If you aren't then this is illegal if you are on their do not call list.

I am in Ontario and this number has been calling my home phone number which is on the do not call list and on top of that, my number is not even listed. I have caller ID, so when I do not recognize number that is calling, I wait for the answering machine to pick up and of course, they do not leave messages. This is a pain in the a** to be bothered by telemarketing when your number is not even listed in the phone book nor on Canada 411, no where at all.One good thing is that I was able to block number from calling again. If they try to call me, they will get a message stating that I do not wish to receive their call. This is something that I should not have to do for them to stop bugging us.

1 (778) 383-3383 has been calling me almost everyday for a week now. It says the number is from B.CI would advice against picking it up if you see that number. They shouldn't be allowed to call people.

Anyone who calls and I don't recognize the number, I let it go to an automated voice mail box. If they care about talking to me they can leave a message with the phone number to be reached. If they hang up with no voice message their number automatically goes to my block number list. And that is what happened to (778) 383-3383.And yes it is a telemarketing company on behalf of RBC. However I have another solution. If you get a telemarketing phone call (don't be afraid of been NASTY), beside a "Hello" at the beginning of the call don't say anything and let the sales person do his own speech and when he/she spend enough time to rave about the business tell them "NO ENGLISH" and then hang up. LOLI can assure you if you do it few times no one would call you from that company anymore
