DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CRIMINALS! CBV Collections are known for purchasing old debt files from companies for pennies on the dollar and trying to collect on them. These old debt files are usually already written off by the companies the money was originally owed to. Thus any money you send them goes into their pockets, not to the companies the debts are with. If you think you owe a debt and you want to pay it off, deal directly with the company you owe the money to. If you are unsure then get a copy of your credit report. If CBV are trying to get money from you, the debt will most likely show up on your credit report as written off by the original company.

They are using different phone numbers, just block the numbers

The people using this number are Criminals, they are exploiting the law, do NOT deal with them, do not pay them anything ever. This company CBV collections finds out when a debt has been written off, meaning whoever you owed the money too has give up and filed it as a loss on their tax form .... you no longer owe this money and the company will not seek to collect it.... but CBV pays a 2 cent on the dollar ( IF they collect fee) so they try to collect it, even tho you do not owe it any longer, they will never stop, all you can do is block their number, do not pay them a cent, they are usinbg idiot workers with no clue, like homeless people to get on the phones and lie and bully.

I get calls from this number every single day, going on over 2 weeks now. Just an automated voice saying i need to call back about an "important business matter". Have read on several websites now this is a scam.

Call three or more times a day. I have a new phone cell number, do not know how they have it. I have blocked the number so they can not leave a voice mail.

They can call all they want because I don't answer unknown callers, but my fax machine will. If they can't abide by provincial legislation then they can go suck on a egg.

I have read reports that they have been under police investigation before which says do not answer the call as they care scammers too
also I had a call from the US as well which was probably a routed call

even if they are a collection, they are only 3rd party, if they want to collect anything they need to sue you and they never will cause they know they won't get anything and only a legal bill.
I have notified my lawyer and he has said to only respond with call my lawyer we are waiting
also if you talk to them let them know you have contacted the RCMP concerning them

Telus is a scamming bunch of criminals.

Consistently calling me from this number. Pretty annoying. How so we make them stop?

CBV is a collection agency owned by Bob Richards and his business uses a computer system to harass people who owe his clients money. If you want to communicate directly with him, Bob lives at 8337 16th Ave Burnaby BC V3N1S2 (Canada) and his home phone number is (604) 526-9410.

You shouldn't answer that number, it's a spam and I got told that if you answer it they will somehow get all your information from your cell. Like bank information, contacts and etc.

It's not always Telus, I'm with Rogers and I use to get 5 a day but now I'm only getting 1 a day.

& I'm always getting this unknown callers right before and sometimes right after they call me. I get almost 3 a day..

I to keep getting calls from this number, I will tell you all what Telus does, if you owe money to them, they will give your file to a few different collection agencies, if you decide to pay the bill to the collection agency, Telus won't say anything else to the other collection agencies that you did pay it therefore you will still keep getting calls from different numbers. Telus is a scam anyways, thats why I refuse to pay them a dime more. I got rid of my cell phone from them and just have a landline and I do not give out my number.

We have been been receiving calls on and off from both 1 +1 866-387-8751 and 1 (778) 328-9992 for about two years now. Recently, we have rec'd as many as 3 calls a day from them over the last week.  I Google queried the number 1 +1 866-387-8751 and found it was connected to CBV Collections and the other number of 1 (778) 328-9992 was also identified as belonging to them as well.  I called their 1 +1 866-387-8751 and spoke with their manager ROBERT SCOTT, and after explaining that the people they were looking for, "John and/or Joleen Corbet" have not been connected to our number. ROBERT SCOTT told me that he took our number out of his system and when I asked him to confirm if the other number, 1 (778) 328-9992 was theirs as well, he told me he couldn't find a file in their system under that number.  I reiterated to him that the number 1 (778) 328-9992 was connected to his office as well to which he basicly argued with me that he couldn't find it.  I then called the other number (1 (778) 328-9992) and got the CBV recorded greeting and when a live person answered, I asked for Mr ROBERT SCOTT.  The initial call taker refused to take a msg when ROBERT SCOTT was not readily available and when I asked the call taker to identify himself, he quickly put me on hold. Mr ROBERT SCOTT finally took my call, he recognized my voice and I again reiterated to him that the number I called to speak with him this second time was the one he tried to tell me earlier that he couldn't find.  When he refused to allow me to speak, I spoke over him and let him know that if the calls from his office continue, I would be pursuing legal action and offered to give him my name, badge number and the police service I'm with, to which I found myself being hung on.  If his calls continue, I'm prepared to utilize my police expierience and contacts to initiate legal proceedings.

Mr ROBERT SCOTT, if I Googled your numbers to get to this complaint web site to leave a msg reagrding my discussions with CBV Collections and yourself, then so can you. If you or any of your fellow agents read this, consider this a formal notice of intent to pursue legal proceedings should your office continue to call my number.

Got this call a bunch..it is CBV Collections from Vancouver...they actually take your old bill, and will add late payment charges from the time you stopped paying or cancelled your service...i owed a few hundred..maybe 500 tops..they call and say its over 1200....LOL..simply call telus, get the call blocking feature and punch in their number...they cant call u if its blocked..and btw, they have some rights, but even when the go too far, there isnt really much to do..cops will tell ya you shoulda paid the bill..a lawyer will cost u more than paying the bill..but honestly, unless ur really going for some huge purchase and loan, u should just treat them like they treat you..which is s**t...lol..ill pay my bill when i can, but i told them i want to pay the lady in person, she was freaked out..MAKE THAT YOUR DEAL..."I WILL PAY THE ENTIRE BILL TOMORROW IF I CAN COME TO YOUR BUSINESS AND PAY IT TO YOU IN CASH"..they wont like that lol

Same thing happened to me, they called to let me know of my owing with Telus. Stupid...never had any account with Telus. The worst thing is they knew my birthdate & my previous address where they say they had traced my owing since 2008.

this company keeps calling stating i owe money for a telus bill and a koodoo bill. just to let everyone know this company is fraudulent company and does not exist

Any one else a Primus customer?I think they have sold my information.  I never use to get these kinda calls until the switch to Primus.

Asked for me by first name only, and said they were calling about my fido account.
I told them to piss off. Fido f**kec me over for 10 years, now I'm giving them a taste of their own medicine.
I told them I'd be more then happy to go to court where I would inform the judge of all the illegal practices they used while I was with them.

I'd sure like to know how they got my number, it's been almost a year since I heard from them.
