I pick up but don't' make a sound...just listen. Usually a hang up (robo calls). Ignore them and eventually they will stop. Do NOT talk to them or any telemarketer. Just ignore them.

The same thing happened to me today too. I answered but no one spoke on the other end, they just hung up after 5 or so seconds. I think what they are trying to do is to test if anyone is home so that they can send their marketing team to these numbers. That way their chances of getting someone to talk to is higher.

Duct Cleanersjust set up an appointment with them and give them the local police stations phone number and address. Maybe if they call them enough they might do something about it
