Caller-ID showed a totally bogus 1123456789, but they gave me the (647) 288-1790 when I asked about it...
They said their company was 'e-solving', and they tried to convince me that the 'errors' in the MS tool 'eventvwr' were signs of infection. Of course, they're not. Just errors like failing to connect to network.... The agent "transferred" me to his supervisor, and I swear I heard him hand the phone over.... LOL.....
At this point I asked where they got my name and number and they said the phone directory, and I asked why they were not rsepecting the Canadian Do-Not-Call Registry.... They tried to insist that it was to help me with my computer. So when I emphasized they were breaking Canadian Law they said their company would not call again. One can only hope. :)

Thank you for your information. I found it very useful. I was called this morning by e-solving wanting to take care of my Windows problems which they had tried to convince me was very faulty. As a senior I am not familiar with the intricacies of the computer, but thankfully I knew enough not to connect to the internet for anyone unless I had first made the initial contact. I have contacted Bell Internet Services, Microsoft Technical Services, Canadian Anti Fraud Services, my local London Police dept and Phone Busters.More releases need to be given out to the public particularly to seniors. Thanks, Tricia

My story's pretty much the same as all the other complainants here.....many calls received.....they claim they're calling from MicroSoft or Online PC Care. When asked for a name, they provide a fairly generic English name (although they can barely speak English)! I've got "Brad", "Dave", "Glenn", "Ray" (the most recent one called himself "Victor")....clearly a scam!! They claim there's a problem with my Windows software. But the joke's on them, cause I only have a MAC! lol Beware and definitely don't give any info to them!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number this morning - I am so glad I didn't pick up! Thanks for the warning :)
