Jan 9 2012 - I’m a  Federal government employee. Just received a call from that number on my office phone. Wondering how they got my number? I never give out my office number or use it for personal business. Curiouser, curiouser.

I got an unsolicited telemarketing call on my cell phone today after I registered my HBC credit card yesterday on www.capitalone.ca/hbc. Though it looked authentic yesterday, now Rogers blocks this website for security reasons and shows that this website is a web forgery trying to obtain my financial and personal information. I'm trying to get hold of HBC to enrol in non-solicitation program that apparently HBC offers to its customers. Let's see if this will help...

On Saturday evening (7 January 2012), someone called my unlisted work number from (613) 686-3035. Like other posters, a recorded message was left about debt reduction services.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.The number that called me was (613) 686-3035.It is a pre-recorded message, offering debt consolidation.They also called my work number, about an hour earlier.I work for the Federal Government.They are not authorized to phone Gov't of Canada phone numbers!Time to update filters.
