The call is from Bell. Maybe it`s to my Sympatico cancellation

I just had a call from them saying that they have noticed my internet is not as fast as the other sympatico customers in my neighbourhood. They asked for my number on my modum and asked how long my phone cord is that is attached to it. When I said 20 feet, he said that might be why it is running slow. He said that I should not have a phone cord any longer than 6 feet attached to the modum. He asked me when I could fix it, I said sometime this week and he said he will call back next week. It it is not fixed after I changed the phone cord than he will send a tec out to see why it is running so slow.  Has this happened to anyone before? If so did someone come out to your place?

I just called another sympatico number and they varified that it was a bell rep that called me.

When I picked up the call, there was a message from Bell requesting that I stay stay on the line as Bell would like to talk to me.

This is enough somehow we should get together and do something more about this situation.  I have had this BS several times over the last few weeks and obviously someone is benefitting from this.  Either some long distance company or some unscrupulous group raking in some sort of money; out of this and of course out of my pocket.  I say this is another criminal extortion scheme.

I'm from Joliette and this person call me every day near 17h55...without left any message too
