Received a call from this number saying that she was from the "Computer Technical Centre" and said there was a problem with my computer.  I hung up and emailed Phonebusters.

Lady told me won free cell phone. I immediately told her that her company was breaking the law, because I am on the do not call list and it is the law that telemarketing companies recognize this list.
She then passed me on to her manager. Told him about that law. He then simply hung up.

It *sounds* like the call is made from an Indian call center.

Whoever owns this Ottawa 613 number really have to get their license or access number removed. They are an illegal outfit, because they are calling from a Canadian number.

Another call - now 6 in 30 minutes ... a stupid, annoying fax. I thought we had protections against such abuse.

Just got a call from (613) 230-3355 telling me i won a free cell phone.  That my home phone # had been selected to win this prise.  I asked where they got my home phone # from and he says "yes it was selected for this prise"  so I say againe where did you get my home # from? he hung up...

They keep trying to fax something.

This number called us a few minutes ago (9:30 a.m. 19 Jan 2011), but when we answered the 'phone, the "unknown caller" did not respond -- there was just "dead air" -- so we hung up. On dialing the number back, we got a message saying that the number "was not in service".
