This is a scam, fraud...somebody who you deal with is trying to get money by being a rat/snitch if you dealt with them via cash or do under the table transactions. This calls a couple of times then sends some CRA documents via Registered Mail...DON'T SIGN THEM the government of Canada has a back door when you sign any Registered Mail documents with Canada Post. Your ex-hubby/wife, business partner, construction person who you paid cash to or is doing cash business is trying to screw you over by saying that you partake in the undercover economy. This has happened to me...DONT' ANSWER THE PHONE AND DON'T SIGN any documents from CRA that arrive shortly after a call from this number. It is CRA criminal investigation division....pass it on....it happened to me. It is actually Contact Resources Services that acts to collect debt...thus it is group working in conjunction with CRA...

Caller: Alledged CRA Member

I received a call from a man identifying himself as Kamal Requesting to speak with me about my 2018 Tax return. He had a bit of an accent and was requesting to have my full name & to answer more security questions. --- As I am good standing in my online accounts and had not received any mail from them directly. I told him I no longer want to speak with him and then you have my information and should email or mail me as there are to many scammers out there... This same man also called other people I know requesting the same information.... Fishy, Fishy I tell ya! My gut says SCAM!

Called an left a voice message to call them back at a local number but not the same as the one showing on display. The phone displayed "G C" which looked phoney. They stated my name and a incorrect address or location. They said they had to discuss some discrepancies with my tax return. Tried to make it sound official by giving a case number to refer to. FAKERS/SCAM ARTISTS - should be arrested.
I have removed my name from the 411 directory but there's so many hacked systems these days that might have your name and phone number. It could even be a contest list I entered my name in. I just screen all calls now and only answer ones I know.

Caller: Debit Collector

My family owns this company and we work in conjunction with CRA as a debt collector. However, we need consent and we need information. We pretend to be CRA or Revenue Canada. HOwever, people don't check to see if we are scam. We call to verify information that the person willing gives. However, CRA DOES NOT CALL ...it writes a letter if they need further information. This is a SCAM...why am I writing this about my family because as all greedy people work...they don't share their ill gotten gains will ALL family memebers...greed catches up on them too. Ignore calls DONT EVER SIGN ANY REGISTERED MAIL DOCUMENTS THAT ARRIVE...if you are getting calls then somebody is jealous you are making money, happy, or simply jealous. It might even be an ex boyfriend, hubby/wife or a contractor or ex employer who is calling this in to us...but ignore all calls...it is a SCAM TO to make my family wealthy.....and wealthier so that others SUFFER AND GO THROUGH PAIN....DISGUSTING.

Got this call several times, make me nervece and stress. I didn't pick up the phone and didn't call back.

Man left a message, with a "French Canadian" accent, claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency, saying that they sent me a piece of mail on Feb 20th to do with my HST/GST account, and haven't heard a reply from me. Unsure if it was legit I came on here, to find out, seems my gut sense may have been correct.

No message left, but they tried to call few times on my cell phone. Revenue Canada has to invstigate this incidents, pretty serious if they use CRA as a reference to get personal information. Normaly CRA leave a message to follow with the question or request, however they may be under budget with professional staff. Do not respond, wait for the original mail. Probably Fraud.

asked to speak to me about review of nanny payroll , also gave my accountants details and said they will contact them if preferred but will let me know the progress once review is completed through phone only, they dont email. not sure about the legitimacy but as they have not asked any of my personal details ?? legit

First they called, reached our voicemail, they did not leave a message. They called back 10 mins later and left a message they wanted info on a client. They gave number (604) 585-5268 to call back on. CRA would never waste their time make two phone calls. They would leave a msg the first time.

It was (604) 951-5660 and sounded legit. Named off all the account numbers and accountants office and said they will be checking in with accountant. However, the notes posted here suggest it is a scam. How to be more careful.

a man with an accent claims that he is from CRA, but he gave my first name which is totally wrong. I asked him who is he looking for, he said the first name again, and he wants me to verify my cell phone number, then I said if you call someone you should tell me which is the number and you are looking for whom. Then he hangs up on me.

recieved a message this morning, first time..from this number (604) 951-5660) saying discrepancy on my 2016 tax..they used my name...but not the company name. I dont trust any of these. I believe rev can will send something in the mail first. Thats not always to be trusted either, so be wary of mailouts too. Always call revenue canada from the directory to find out what they really sent or call you about.. Lots of scams around.

After not answering calls from the above number, some registered mail documents show up at addresses not even on file with CRA. This is a bogus scam. Sam Hu drops by the business claiming he wants to do an audit. There was no messages, previous calls or any other letters prior to him popping in. Not going to cooperate with him as he doesn't even have all the information correct. Calls made to 1-+1 800-959-5525 confirm there is nothing on the account about any calls, notes or a Sam Hu doing an audit on the company. It sounds like physical phishing and phone phishing....

Claimed to be from CRA and wanted me to confirm my identity. I said I wasn't comfortable divulging my own personal information to someone when they called me and I have no way of verifying who they are. Caller promptly hung up

I call back this phone but can't reach the person. Why they do not leave detail message and extention number?

Received a voice message today from (604) 951-5660 asking me to call "Wilma" back at her line (604) 587-2950 or +1 800-959-5513 ext. 2950 regarding my Notice of Objection. In August 2014, I recived a statement from CRA that they audited my 2013 Taxes and wanted my moving expenses back, so I filed a Notice Of Objection. I never heard anything and then in November 2014, they sent me another statement showing that my account is now cleared and no further action is needed from me. I called this Wilma back today and she wanted my SIN and all personal info. When I said no, then she said i was being difficult and making this complicated. I asked why she was even calling me if my account was cleared as per the statement I received in November. I said I wasn't giving personal info out over the phone and for her to send me a letter. She then said, "What am I supposed to put in the letter? That's why I called you."
After that comment, I just hung up.

Amen! You ain't kidding brother. lol

As I type this, they currently have me bent over a barrel and are lowering my shorts.

Received a call from this number today July 14th/2014...says Government of Canada on the caller ID but really I would think they'd leave a message if it was really the gov't of canada and they want to speak with anyone here...already suspicious!
