When I answered this call, I could not understand a word the guy was saying. I also got hang up calls from this number. Who are these people and what do they want?

Yes this also appears as your callerid if you call someone outside of BC eg a 1-800 number, it will identify you as this number. Shaw's callback service sees this number and others. It's basically a long distance port through which cell phone calls go sometimes, depending on where the call is going. So if someone calls you and this is the number that shows up, it's most likely someone calling long distance from a Rogers cell phone

just a note...I made a long distance call from a rogers cell phone in BC and the automated operator identified that I was calling from (604) 408-9342 even though it is not my phone number.

This number has called my business/work number several times in 1 day and has nnot left a message. This call disrupts my business while on other business calls.
