I have tried telling them that I am not a home owner, I am not interested, They just ignore your complaint and call you back next day. Might be a different person but sounds like the same person to me, in some cases he identifies himself by the same name. Telling them to put your phone number on a Do Not Call List does not work, they just want you to accept their call. Calling the authorities does NOTHING either, they just tell you that they are investigating the scam and nothing is done about them calling.

I tried to change my phone number to Unlisted or just change the phone number. This usually encurs a charge from the phone company, This will not work as their dialer uses a number rotation and eventually they just get your number even if it is unlisted.

I decided to keep my number
Step 1 I got a cellular phone instead of a home phone.
Step 1 I download Ringo Lite
Step 2 I added the number to the call reject list on my Android Phone.
Step 3 I used the Ringo Lite - changed the ring style to Silent.
Step 4 So when this number calls, the phone will not ring, and it will auto reject the number.

Voila instant disconnect for annoying callers and no annoying calls ringing on my phone.
