Claiming to be from Visa and Mastercard Services, with a heavy accent. Don't even give them the time of day.

received a call today from the following number(519) 800-1046East Indian fellow stated his name was Alex and that he was calling on behalf of visa because i was such a good customer. I played along for a few. He said he wanted to lower interest rates because i paid on time all the time. He then proceeded to ask me my card number and expiration date. I laughed and said i think you are full of it. I said you have my account open you have the number. I said I don't have a visa and that i don't appreciate being lied to. He then changed it saying he was calling on behalf of master card and tried to obtain that info. I told him what he was doing was disgusting he became angry and hung up on me.

This number called me here in Calgary again.  They called me at 11:30 am this morning and because their call came through with a caller id of "Ontario" instead of "Unknown" the call came through.  I didn't answer because I recognized the number and they didn't leave a voice mail.  Waste of time......

Received call from this numbers on June 19 2014 at 4:42pm.  Man who called saying he was with Visa and because of my record of payment I qualified for a new product from Visa.  Wanted my expiry date from my card.  Told him I was not interested and hung up.  Checked with Visa Customer service and was told that there was no message on my account that Visa was going to contact me.  

They called to inform me  that I could get a Visa  lifetime interest rate lowered and wanted me to tell them my expiry date. I asked them to tell me the expiry date, seeing they already had my name and address, so I can confirm, that is whan they hung up.I think it's a scam.

same thing here ...all about visa and MasterCard rate reductions .... I asked him to please take my number off the list.... he started mumbling, I asked him what he was saying... much clearer the second time f*** you , f*** you Mother, F*** your wife, and so on ... all in a monotone voice ... let him go for quite a while just for fun....then finally hung up.

This number called me out of the blue, claimed to be Visa credit card services. Said I was eligable for a reduction in rates. I said thank you very much, I will be expecting that. And hung up on him. I better get a reduction in rates or visa will be hearing about it, seeing as the candain government cant seem to stop telephone solicitors from trying to defraud taxpayers... I blame the phone companies for trying to get a few extra dollars by allowing these fraudulent customers to telephone solicit thier back bone good customers. I do NOT believe, for a moment, that the phone companies, the governments or the police actively do thier damn jobs and stop the harrasment. Do not call list, my [***], survey companies use this list and so do registered charities. Illegal solicitors dont seem to use the list eitherway, so whats the point unless the telephone companies start auto blocking these callers and even thier area or country codes untill the corresponding teleco does the same!!!Im fed up with the [***].. I dont pay for a phone for idiots to harass me... the gov needs to legislate and then enforce the telecos with policing and fines untill the tele co decides the extra few dollars from the marketers is not worth it.  So call the telecos and your MLA's, the news stations.. lets stop this crap.Of course I would fully support the implimentation of an "Opt in" system ... as if...
