from solo when i asked how they got my number he stoped trying to sell me stuff and hung up

It is a scam.  They will try to sell you Solo mobile phones from this number or Bell services from unavailable name and number.  If you get a call from a big company with a private caller number or unavailable number, just hang up the phone!

Even if you were to try calling the number back you would not have gotten anywhere. It will not connect to anything.
What kills me is they don't want your credit card number they want your SIN number along with the rest of your personal info. This is past a regular scam we are all dealing with here.

this number has been calling us every single night and then hanging up after 10 seconds.i just called this number and got an automated telephone message that says "6UT1, the number you have reached is not in service."it seems like the number displayed may not actually be the number they are calling from. it is possible to accomplish this if the person did at one time have that phone number and verified it with a company like skype, then use the skype account to continue displaying that number all the time, when really the calls are being made from a different number.

They claim they are from bell, but when i noticed it was fishy (the noise in the background, the unprofessionalism, and just shadiness in general) i called bell. They told me that unless it comes from their number, it is not bell. They told me that this was a scam. They are trying to get your personal info under the pretense of giving you a phone. Don't fall for it.

I have tried everything Sherry. I am not listed , I have been on the DNCL since Oct. 15th 2010 , I had 3rd party calling stopped from computers and they are still getting through. I have called every option out there to stop them and they are still getting through. I have put up some posts here on who to call to report it to etc. Which is pointless cause it's not stopping. Just when I think YES I finally found something that stopped the calls..a few days later I'm back up to 3 calls a day. I am at the point where I'm gonna have to put in place where people are going to have to put a number to my phone so anyone who has a private number cannot get through unless they punch that in 1st. No private callers anymore. I wonder if that will even curtail the calls.
