Yes, AR is correct, its apparently a person from "Microsoft support" they have you look through your event viewer and stuff like that to make it appear to be real. After about 5 minutes of them "helping" they say they are going to connect you to a service tech.
They then tell you to go to www.support.me where you are given an access pin, a file gets downloaded on to your system, which, on a windows system does 2 things, first off after the self-executing exe file unzips its program and "searches" for the virus. A secondary remote access program starts up and someone gain access to your computer. This is just like the old back oriface programs from the 90's.
Its actually quite funny because I asked the kid on the phone "how stupid are you?" He replied "no you stupid!"
I threatened to kill him and burry him in the ground, I do hope he calls the police and has me arrested like he threatened.

Got this today at noon. Guy on the line asked if I was the person who used a computer in the house (yes) and informed me that my computer was "sending out infections". Ha! I assume I was to be asked for all sorts of personal information (including credit card or remote access to my computer) but I laughed, said "Not it's not - what a scam!", and hung up.
Will be reported.

I found out this is a fax number - it's from an online fax service - A friend of mine accidently sent it to me.
