A lady called me over this number at 9:08 jun4,2008, she told me she is from CIBC, will give me some benefit and I think she intented to give me a part of wrong information about me, let me correct and confirm it, such as name, DOB, address, post code, credit card number & passward ect.

After doing some digging I found that this number (514) 288-0420) is controlled by Canadian Premier Life Insurance and Legacy General Life Insurance.  They represent 9+ companies who provide the life insurance that goes with your credit cards (HBC, MasterCard, etc.) and bank loans.

This is the link to Cdn. Premier Life - they will remove your number, push "0" to talk to the operator (the only way to talk to somebody unless you have a policy or want a policy)

Lately when I get home I keep seeing this number on my phone.Surely there must be enough people they can harass in Quebec so they need to call Alberta. Screw off & leave us alone.

I've received three calls over two weeks from this number.  I only answered once.  The caller was a woman with an Asian accent.  A lot of background noise.  I told her she had the wrong number, to which she replied with a confused "Oh" and hung up.  The two times I didn't answer, no message was left.
