If you get calls from this number in the day, on a weekday; then it has something to do with business. They only make business calls from 9 to 5.Most likely its a customer satisfaction survey for a bank or telecommunication service. You mentioned you got a new phone, maybe it is for that, to see if you are satisfied.

Please do not call my number and hang up. These call from you are unnesssary, you you need to stop

and then go on to explain that you have a right to use an impersonal auto-dialer to call me at a personal number without me having explicitly offered you that number.
I also did telephone solicting in order to get through post-secondary. I took the training, did the job for 20 minutes and then quit after I realised what I was doing to people.
If I want politicians to know my opinion, I vote. If I want companies to know my preferences, I buy. I don't spend 15 minutes of my own time telling a polling company so that I can be 1/10000th of an opinion, plus or minus one point 19 times out of 20.

I don't know who called me by that number but lmao!!!! I answered the phone and some lady with a foreign accent started off with, Hi, this is ________________________________________________ company and we are doing a survey. ahahaha the name of the company or whatever she was saying was a good 10 seconds long, atleast and I couldn't help burst into laughter! That's intense, having to remember that name and then listening to the person say it! ahahahahahahaha.

WHY DOES THE PHONE COMPANY SUPPORT THESE CALLS.  BELL & OTHERS MAKE BILLIONS FROM THESE PEOPLE SO THEY DO NOT PUT THEM OUT OF WORK.........LOL...LOLTO THE FELLOW IN MONTREAL WITH HIS EXCUSE ABOUT "OPINION SEARCHES", GIVE ME YOUR NUMBER AND WE WILL TIE UP YOUR PHONE TILL BELL GETS OF THEIR _ _ S AND FORCES THESE PEOPLE OFF OF THE TELEPHONE LINES.I AM IN OTTAWA, CANADA.WE HAVE NEVER ANSWERED CALLS THAT ARE UNKNOWN OR NO NAME.
