Just be polite and ask them to take your name of their list.

*MORE ON  HOW TO HANDLE OPINION SEARCH*I forgot to tell you.If you receive a call from OPINION SEARCH or any other market research company and it bothers you and you do not want to be called again, DO NOT SAY THAT YOU ARE BUSY!!! According to market research standards, when you say that you are busy, that is considered a CALLBACK and you WILL BE 100% CALLED BACK until you grow some balls and say DO NOT CALL ME/THIS NUMBER AGAIN. Those are the magic words.------------------------------------------------------------------------I hope all this information helps everybody. And if you want to be really sure to not be called for surveys in the near future, phone your Internet company, your Cable company, the company you bought your TV and Kitchen appliances from, your Magazine subscription and tell them you do not want to take part in any research. Also, avoid entering your phone number on online contests or contests of any kind offered at grocery stores or department stores. Usually, ballots that are filled out for contests will eventually be part of a sample database. And trust me, you will be called at some point by either a market research company....or if you are unlucky, by a telemarketing company.Once again, inform yourself, if you do not want big bad corporate companies to invade your mind and household. As John Madison said,*Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.*

Your company and companies of that type are a poison on society.  You have no rationalization for what you do, you are Satan's little helpers. You are the ruiner of all things good, seriously. I'm just having to have a nice quiet Sunday breakfast with my family, and you pierce the vail of the sanctity of a Sunday morning! You produce NOTHING of any value to anyone.  You are Satan?s spawn filling the world with bile and garbage. I know, all the people who conduct surveys are going: "He doesn't know what he's talking about, we've got plenty of value."  But you don't.  How do you live like that? And I bet you sleep like babies at night, don?t you??What didya do today honey???Oh, we ah, we convinced people that vaccinations cause mental retardation, goodnight.?Sleep like children, don?t ya, this is your world isn?t it?You and those who work at these types of companies should die of an athlete's foot fungus that literally eats them from toe to head!

Sure! But I believe I'm doing them a favor by spending my precious time answering they survey. To be fair I should be compensated for this. Now THAT would be the correct way to do this! Thanks

I got this call. I think if you put your number into the their website it may take a few days to process.

Called me this sunday too. ...And I haven't signed up for anything recently that said they will call me for my opinion. I haven't given out my phone number except to the companies that i currently have an account with so it shouldn't be some random survey. And I have done surveys before only to find out they want to know how many ppl live in my house, how much money i make, my age, where i go and when. It amounts to an awful lot of information that could be used to scam me (or try to) by narrowing down my exact location and if i have enough money to have it scammed from me. I stop answering questions when that info is asked of me, therefore I will not do surveys any more.I don't care if the company is "legit". It's a questioned practice, and should be an obsolete way to do business as so many scammers use the same manner to steal from ppl.

I actually work for this company and just want to reply here with something that I hope will be helpful. Step one: enter your phone number on this webpage http://www.opinionsearch.com/en/tools/donotcall/index.phpPosting your information to this link will prevent your phone number from being added to any future surveys we run, however it doesn't remove your number from any active surveys. The best way to do this is to phone the number back and put in extension 2012 to reach one of the supervisors on duty, or if you talk to one of our phone staff ask to speak with a supervisor. Tell the supervisor you want to be added to our DNC registry and (this is very important) let them confirm your phone number and any other numbers you want added to our DNC list. That way we can ensure that any records connected to your phone number are terminated so we won't contact you through them.Market research companies are, in fact, exempt from the national Do Not Call registry as they're not out to solicit money from you. However, they are legally required to remove your number from calling lists if you request it. Remember that if a company has already phoned you then they already have your number so you really have nothing to lose by calling back and letting them add it to their Do Not Call list.
