calls about 2x per week--last chance to lower interest rates on credit card

Lower my interest rates. Spoke with Sara. Told her I was on the DO NOT CALL list and she said it was OK for them to call because "we got your information from the credit card companies that told us you pay your credit card bill on time."

I filed a complaint at donotcall.gov

I have received calls from 1-(506) 227-4563 stating to press "1* if I wanted to speak with a rep on lowering my credit card rates.  The first time I pressed "1" and the person could not tell me what credit cards they were referring to.  Not only that, I asked the rep where they received information that I had any credit cards.  They said the credit bureau. The person became beligerent when I would not play their game and they hung up on me.  I am on the "DO NOT CALL LIST".  Since then, I just hang up and am now reporting this breech of phone usage.  This is obviously a scam.

Just got a call from (506) 227-4563 (per Caller I.D.). ?Message said something about this was their final call and it was about my car warranty, which is dumb since both my cars are old and both warranties have long expired.  They said to stay on the line for a rep. which I decided to do for the moment thinking that I would tell them they are calling illegally since they are obviously telemarketers and I am on the "Do Not Call" list.  With no response after 45 seconds I hung up.  This is obviously a scam, a telemarketer, an illegal operation.  Calling from Canada, I guess they don't have to honor the USA's "Do Not Call" list --- sure gives Canada a bad reputation...
