We have been getting a number of telephone calls from teh same boiler room operation that use an automated dialer and pre-recorded voice which tells us that "this is (our) last chance to lower your credit card payment and interest rate.  Please push "1" to find out more." (Car warranties, mortgages, you name it, its the same basic message applied to any major credit card or item)When you push "1" you get connected to a person working in the boiler room who then asks you to tell them your credit card account number.  Knowing what going on, and for fun I just ask them what credit card they are calling about?  They will tell you that they don't know your credit card number but if you give it to them, they will give you a better rate (yeah, right).1-(506) 220-5144 shows up as the caller ID number, but when you call it back the carrier recording says that it hasn't been assigned.So these people are not only phishing, but their topic seems to change daily.
