I just want you to know that the CRTC does not apply for those type of calls since you've made buisness with Bixi in the last 18 months. They are calling you to offer a 10$ rebate on your renewal, I think that's a way of fulfilling service, No?

J'ai finalement pu répondre aujourd'hui pour voir si c'était une machine ou un humain qui appelait.  J'ai répondu en disant VACHIER.  Y'avait un humain au bout, la p'tite fille a pogné de quoi fiez-vous sur moi!  Je lui ai encore dit Vachier, arrêtez de m'appeler, j'veux pu jamais voir votre osti d'numéro sur mon caller ID, c'tu clair?! VACHIER!  Je crois qu'elle m'a quand même souhaité une bonne journée. Lolll

It's Symbiose company. They are mandated by Bixi to apply 10$ rebate to year subscription. Just call Bixi to get it: 514-789-24-94 option 6

A guy called to asked me to confirm if I did renew my subscription to "Bixi" (a montreal bike service). I was not sure if he mentioned Bixi so I asked the guy to repeat. I finally said yes, he thanked me and hanged up. I phoned Bixi after. They told me they don't do that type of call normally. I called back (450) 616-8535. It was an automated recording. Sounds like a total scam.

This seems to be a violation of Bixi's privacy policy at https://montreal.bixi.com/privacy-policy -- they say they won't use your information for anything other than fulfulling the service. I'm pretty sure the telemarketing company is making some $ (they're not working for free). Second, I already renewed my membership this year and the operator had no idea. She also had no idea that I'm on the Canadian DNCL. I filed a complaint with the CRTC.
