please activate my check !!!

I received a letter in the mail from a company called Truheat and when I looked them up on the web they look legitimate. But the letter said that I had won a contest for $57,000.00 and that all participants were selected from places suxh as Publishers Clearing House, Online Sweepstakes, etc. The letter contained a $3,000 check. The letter said that this check was to cover administrative taxes and clearance fees for my winnings. What do they think I'm stupid! The instructions said that I need to call a person named Teresa Robinson at (450) 369-0295 in order to activate the check so I can cash it. The claim number on the letter was US/CA/ZDS49-00G. The letter was signed by a Kent Wood-Claims Specialist for Truheat Financial Services & Consultants. I would not cash this check in a million years because common sense says that why would they give me money for fees and taxes? That is something that should be deducted from my winnings. Don;t fall prey to this scam!
